to Glory, and the squad was renamed.
The SquadCO that named this squad took a deep satisfaction in not only being a Marine, but having a doctorate in Cross-Cultural Philosophy and Relations. He cherishes the title 'warrior poet', and decided a variation of that would be his squad name.
scroll.
"Unlikely Event" 2nd Squad (Infantry), Tango Platoon, 1st Nimitz Company

This is another old squad, passed through multiple SquadCO's. According to popular legend, a Colonel asked the founding SquadCO what his plan was if the enemy broke their lines. His reply was said to be 'In that unlikely event, we'll kill them all and expect you bums to buy us a beer.' Indeed, the lines were broken, and by the time the battle was over... only four members of the squad lived, but no enemies had survived.
This name was a joke that ended up sticking. When asked by a local on a non-affiliated world on the frontier what his men were (the residents were not bipedal), the first words out of this sarcastic officers mouth was "Mostly Harmless."

Patch: A Towel being waved in the air, with two aspirins close by.
