| Instead of the typical grey bulkheads, the ''Topaz'' is constructed with a light dispersing black compound, lending the craft optical camoflauge at a distance, and its interior is set in cream, faint, fine red Starfleet insignia run along the wing-pods of the shuttle, but this is the only decoration. Identifying marks are located on the Wing-pods and the nose of the shuttle, but are in matt-black, and barely visible to the casual onlooker in space.

| A Combined Ops/Tactical station is starboard of the Conn station, and regulates Life Support, Shuttle Power systems, Shields, tractor beams, and offensive capability such as Phasers and Torpedoes.
