The Dacoralian Star Empire has declared war on Doenitz's part of the Federation and has signed several treaties with the Klingon Empire, including a mutual defense treaty.  They have also signed treaties with the Tzenkethi and the [[Gorn]].  The DSE has martialed the defenses of the [[Gamma Quadrant]] against both the ever-present Borg and Dominion threats in addition to the threat posed by Doenitz.  Combined with their Gamma Quadrant neighbors the Dacoralian Alliance currently has more than a thousand ships on patrol in the gamma quadrant, with concentrations at the wormhole, the Dominion border, and the heart of the DSE.
