==Physical Description==

Deynyk is a fairly handsome man, with a somewhat rough looking exterior. He prefers to keep a rugged stubble on his chin and keep his hair somewhat disheveled.  He has a disarming smile, dimples when he smiles and light green eyes that sparkle with mischief. 

He is broad shouldered, and although he has an athletic build his muscle structure is closer to that of a professional swimmer rather than a body builder. He has a low body fat, and as a result is a little heavier due to muscle mass that he might at first appear.

==Background==

Deynyk is the second host to the Rinn symbiont, the first being a female Trill named Jeyva.  Deynyk is a bit more rebellious than Jeyva was, and is considerably more adventurous. The prospect of adventure in Starfleet was appealing and so Deynyk  joined up where he quickly found he had a knack for operations. 

In his previous Host, Jeyva, The Rinn Symbiont served as a diplomatic attache for the United Federation of planets, specializing in arbitration, negotiation and first contact.  Among her accomplishments are the arbitration of the Argosy and Cartenian Trade Conferences, The Timerian Border Disputes and the Kimdan-Romulan Cease-fire agreements. most of her work was in the capacity as a general ambassador to various postings including, Betazed, Romulus, Cardassia and Kimdan III. She served one half term on the federation council as an attache to the Trill Councilman. She had a terrible allergic reaction to shellfish, which nearly killed the Symbiont. The host unfortunately was unable to be saved.

==Education==

The Rinn Symbiont has been educated at the prestigious Trill Ministry of Science and Diplomacy. It has also attended the Federation Diplomatic Corps Academy, as well as Starfleet Academy. It holds the equivalent to a Doctorates degree in Political Science, Diplomatic Economics and a Masters in Applied Logistics Management.

==Pre-Starfleet==

Rinn grew up in the manner consistent with all Trill Symbionts. When he was mature enough, he was joined with his first host, Jeyva, and the two underwent extensive acclimation and educational studies together. They studied Diplomacy and social sciences at the Trill ministry of Science and Diplomacy.

Later they joined the Federation Diplomatic Corps and had a successful career, consisting of a variety of small postings dotted with just a few minor arbitrations and negotiations.

On Earth in 2404, Rinn had a near- fatal allergic reaction to Shellfish, and nearly died. His host Jeyva, expired.

Within a day of her death, Rinn was joined with another trill, Deynyk. Unlike Jeyva, Deynyk was a bit more fun-loving and not as serious. The pair decided to turn away from the Diplomatic Corps and decided instead to join starfleet.

==Starfleet==

:2404-2408: Starfleet academy - majored in Applied Logistics management. Graduated middle of his class, due to a tendency to party too much.

==Medical==

Deynyk has suffered a number of broken bones as a result of undertaking a variety of dangerous adventures. These have included freestyle rock climbing, orbital sky-diving, zero-G obstacle courses, kick boxing, wrestling, rugby, american style football, Klingon Po'kath, Lira fighting, and hiking.

He is sometimes prone to a short temper, an undesirable trait that has seen him in more than his fair share of physical confrontations.

Rinn, the Symbiont, suffers an extreme allergy to Shellfish of all sorts and sternly avoids sea food. This allergy is severe enough, that it once nearly killed the symbiont, and resulted in the death of his prior host.

==Hobbies==

Deynyk lives for the moment. He loves any sort of activity that involves physical action, especially if it offers and adrenalin rush. Thus he isn't very sedentary in nature. He enjoys fine foods, drink, women and anything else that he can savor in the here and now. This is likely a result of a near death experience and a desire to experience as much as possible in as short a time as he can. He is often the life of the party. He enjoys a good puzzle or debate from time to time, especially if they are extremely complex or difficult. 

==Skills==

As a result of his past experiences, Deynyk Rinn is a skilled negotiator and diplomat when he chooses to be. however, he doesn't prefer to remain in that role for longer than necessary, as he finds it boring now that he has the ability to live life more fully. He is an advocate of physical games and sports including anything that is full contact and thrilling. Thus he is in excellent physical shape. He is a friendly, outgoing person who is usually able to find the lighter side of a bad situation. He has infectious enthusiasm and cheer and his skill with complex logistics and organization are second to none.

His phaser skills are above average, but not exceptional.
