When Captain Jean-Luc Picard brought Rivan aboard the Enterprise from the planet, the Edo God threatened the Enterprise with destruction until Rivan was returned. It also prevented Wesley Crusher from beaming out of protected custody until it was convinced by a passionate speech from Picard. (TNG: "Justice")
