Kabor Prime

During the Federation Civil War a subterranean facility was built on Kabor Prime, by a secret faction of the Starfleet Engineers named Omega Station. The Station was employed in the creation and development of a viable and stable creation of the Omega Molecule. The facility was so secretive that it continued to operate even after the civil war ended with the defeat of President Rodrigo Doenitz. It was believed that there was an underground faction that had been loyal to the militaristic views of the Doenitz regime and that the project would be used to re-establish that regimes power base.

This Class L planet was located near the Cardassian border.

The facility was located and destroyed in 2408 by the ISS Rosenante which was aware of the existence of the facility in their own universe. They attacked the facility and stole the deployment system built for the Omega Device that had been built there. This was the final piece of the device that was needed to create a functioning Omega Device.

In the Mirror Universe

The Imperial Union of Planets dispatched a ship, the ISS Rosenante, to Kabor Prime which took on the project's lead scientist including Zachary Falthgood. They were responsible for the development of the stable Omega Molecule, which had allowed the creation of the Omega Device.

Falthgood and his scientists were conveyed back to Earth at the behest of Regent Rodrigo Doenitz and the ISS Rosenante was dispatched to the planet Sunali II to deploy the weapon for testing against an assembled Klingon-Cardassian Alliance task force and the traitorous planet. The test would serve two purposes. It would ensure the destruction of the assembled enemy task force and the destruction of Sunali II would serve as a lesson to other planets considering defecting to the KCA.

This planet first appeared in the USS Rosenante Mission: Into the Darkness, Go I
