Kimdan
The Kimdans are a humanoid species native to the planet Kimda III located in the Beta Quadrant.
The species is on the same basic technological level as the United Federation of Planets, although they lack in some technologies such as replicators.
The Kimdans are roughly the same size as the average human, and reproduce sexually. They have a roughly humanoid cranium although they possess two down turned horns at the back of the skull.
They possess long lateral ears and broad flat bottomed noses.
In 2302, the Orion Syndicates invaded Kimda III in an attempt to seize the wealth of latinum found on the planet. When pleas for assistance to the United Federation of Planets failed to illicit aid, they turned to the Romulans for help.
Baylon Trinin resigned his Starfleet commission in order to render aid to the Kimdans. He became, for the duration of the war, an officer in the Kimdan Militia. The Occupation lasted only two years and when the Orions withdrew from the planet, the Kimdans established trade agreements with the Romulan Star Empire.
