Nilas System Data Brief[edit]

Stellar Data[edit]

Name: NCG-7429 [Nilas System]

Spectral Class: Nilas Type A9VI (White star, metal rich envelope, planets rich in minerals-Relative brightness 9 [much dimmer than average]- SubDwarf star)

System Data[edit]

Name: Nilas System

Affiliation: Independent

System Type: Stellar System (NCG-7429 Type A9VI)

Inhabited Planets: Nilas III

Other Planets: Nilas I (Type K), Nilas II (Type N)

Other Stellar Objects: The system possesses an Oort cloud and occasional cometary activity. The system also possesses a dense inner asteroid belt and a dense outer asteroid belt.

Artificial Objects: Nilasian Shipyard and Tactical defense grid located in Orbit around Nilas III. Colony on Nilas IIIa, Nilas IIIb, Nilas IIIc

Planetary Data[edit]

Name: Nilas I

Planetary Classification: K (Venus- like World, Strong atmosphere, Weak Magnetic Field, Life is marginally possible)

Atmospheric Details: Primary Components are Carbon monoxide (45%), Chlorine (20%), Oxygen (20%) with trace gases (Neon, Krypton, Hydrogen, Methane) making up the remainder (15%).

Planetary System Data: Single Moon (Nilas Ia [Class G: uninhabitable])

Gravity Notes: [Nilas I] 1.2 G, [Nilas Ia] 0.015G

Year and Day: 40 standard days/12.3 standard hours

Hydrosphere: 0% [Various Salts are freely suspended in the atmosphere]

Temperature Range: 225°F Nighttime to 525°F Daytime

Flora and Fauna: None.

Resources: Heavy Metals, Rare Salts and Minerals

Description: Nilas I is an incredibly hazardous planet. This planet has a roiling atmosphere of poisons and acids that make all but the most basic attempts at study difficult. The atmosphere is subject to violent storms and gamma radiation leaks. The Outpost on Nilas I is scientific in nature, although it is eventually planned to place a minerals mining and gas mining facility on the planet within the next two decades. The Moon of Nilas I is little more than an asteroid that was captured by the planet’s gravity, it is porous pumice like material not suitable for colonization or exploitation.

Name: Nilas II

Planetary Classification: N (Moon- like World, No atmosphere, Weak or no Magnetic Field, Life is not possible)

Atmospheric Details: None

Planetary System Data: Single Moon (Nilas IIa [Class G: uninhabitable])

Gravity Notes: [Nilas II] 0.6 G, [Nilas IIa-m] 0.005G

Year and Day: 82 standard days/19.3 standard hours

Hydrosphere: 0%

Temperature Range: -625°F Nighttime to 825°F Daytime

Flora and Fauna: None.

Resources: Heavy Metals, Dilithium and Minerals including Tritanium and Durinide

Description: Nilas II is barren lifeless planet. This planet was once the moon of a fully developed planet, which was destroyed in a gravitational shear at the time that the primary star began its collapse. Mysteriously the moon survived the destruction of the planet, although the planet’s remains co-occupy the orbital path of Nilas II. Several of the moons are rich in heavy metals although none have substantial space for colonization except for Nilas IIa; all other moons are simply captured asteroid bodies.

Name: Nilas III

Planetary Classification: M (Earth- like World, Strong atmosphere, Strong Magnetic Field, Life is possible)

Atmospheric Details: Primary Components are Oxygen (45%), Carbon Dioxide (20%), Nitrogen (20%) with trace gases (Neon, Krypton, Hydrogen, Methane) making up the remainder (15%).

Planetary System Data: Triple Moon (Nilas IIIa [Class G: uninhabitable], Nilas IIIb [Class G: uninhabitable] Nilas IIIc [Class G: uninhabitable])

Gravity Notes: [Nilas III] 1.01 G, [Nilas IIIa] 0.20G, [Nilas IIIb] 0.16G, [Nilas IIIc] 0.08G

Year and Day: 321 standard days/26.83 standard hours

Hydrosphere: 63%

Temperature Range: -100°F Nighttime to 125°F Daytime

Flora and Fauna: None.

Resources: Heavy Metals, Dilithium and Minerals including Tritanium and Durinide

Nilas III

Description: Nilas III is a class M world that is primarily a temperate climate world with severe arctic regions and a thick jungle region at its equator. There are 20 major cities on the planet each boasting a population of a million or more inhabitants. The planetary government is an electoral government whose highest office, of President, is termed in 10-year increments with no limit to the number of terms that may be served. The planet enjoys good relations with The United Federation of Planets and has strong trade agreements with the Orion Syndicate, Ferengi Mercantile Exchange and The Romulan Star Empire.

Their strong economy and prevalent trade good and raw minerals allow them economic strength, while their technology agreements place them in a strong military and scientific lead in comparison with many of their immediate neighbors. They possess a strong fleet and excellent military officers who participate in officer exchange with the UFP, RSE and KE.

The three moons orbiting Nilas III are rich in minerals and are called home to nearly 20 billion people, they are colonized extensively and offer a variety of raw resources and finished goods for trade.

The Nilas System is primarily occupied by Humans, who settled it in original DY-100 Generation ships. They are fiercely independent of the UFP and do not tolerate attempts by that government to pressure them.

The Capital City is named Nova Terra.
