Editing The Last Flight of the Evenstar

==Prologue==

The USS Evenstar a constitution class starship is on its first mission after an extensive refit. It has been tasked to explore the far reaches of the Inbari system where a survey ship has found a strange anomaly as it mapped the system on its way through the outer reaches of the system. The Evenstar warped out to investigate the anomaly and was never heard from again. 

==Message in a Bottle ==

The Serenity sat in its high parking orbit around Earth as it uploaded the latest technical up grades. It also brought aboard new crewmembers. Commander [[Sazboe]] as the Chief Science Officer, Lieutenant Commander [[Gwen Moss]] as the Chief Medical Officer, Lieutenant [[M'Epak]] as the Trauma Emergency Team Chief and Civilian Advisors [[Sipen Daquee]] a Linguist and [[Miss Peterson]] an Archaeologist. Along with Sipen Daquwee and Miss Peterson came a new set of orders for Commander Jay and the Serenity.
A message had been received by one of the Federations deep space relay station. It was a message from the USS Evenstar which was lost in unusual circumstances about 155 years ago. The message contained parts of a language from a long dead civilisation called the [[Toto]] which was why Sipen Daquee and Miss Peterson were here to help translate the rest of the message and quickly as part of the message that they had managed to decrypt from the long missing Evenstar was a cry for help. 

== The Haunted House ==

The Serenity warped into the Inbari system. They moved in cautiously as they made detailed sensors sweep of the system. There was nothing in the system, no signs of life obvious signs of inhabitance or orbital construction. Pachakan at the tactical console found an unknown sensor return around the small planet at the centre of the system. Jay ordered the Serenity on a new course to investigate. As they came closer Pachakan was able to make out that it was the USS Evenstar and it was dead in space is a slow decaying orbit around the planet.

==Exploring at midnight ==

As the Serenity moved into close proximity to the Evenstar Jay looked at the deatailed scans of the ship. Every thing had been shut down. The ship was in deep freeze and there was no sign of life aboard but all the exterior hatchs were open which should not happen in space. She ordered an away team of M'Epak, Pachakan, Grayjoy, Sazboe along with special forces team to search the vessel for answers . The Serenity docked with the Evenstar. Power lines were attached to restore emergency power as the away team moved across to find some answers

==Secrets from the past ==

The away team slowly explored the Evenstar the ship was like an ice tomb but with out the bodies and was totally deserted. M'Epak arrived at sickbay she entered and activated a small power unit to access the sickbay system. Suddenly the console activated and a report started to scroll across it and a male voice came over the sickbay speakers.

As Pachakan and Grayjoy entered the bridge they accessed the bridge system and brought up the last entry on the captain’s log which boomed at them from the bridge system.

Sazboe entered the science department with her escort. They moved carefully as so not to slip on the ice which covered every surface. At the far end of the room in a hazardous containment booth sat a small square box. The box sat on a pedestal secured on each side by strong clamps. As she stepped closer she saw that the booths power was partially restored by the power coming from the Serenity. She access the data from the console and began looking for log entrées that had been reported by the other members of the away team. She found the first log that had information on the Box and began the log.

==The Mystery==

The logs and the rest of the information that had been stored on the main computer was copied and sent to the Serenity. The box was meticulously scanned but there was no trace of Second Life. It went through every decontamination protocol the Serenity had and was also put in a hermetically sealed case. It was then stored in one of the airlocks just in case.
Daquee and Miss Peterson were given position of all the information about the Toto and began the work of deciphering the Box which was giving up more questions then answers.

==Epilogue==

The Serenity slipped back into warp as it left the Inbari system. Behind it was the Evenstar and a warp capable tug which was taking it back to Star Base Geneva for further evaluation. Daquee and Miss Peterson were still deep in their examinations of the Box and it would be some time before they were able to get anything more useful out of it.

There was one question that kept lingering in Jay mind as the Serenity headed home. The box had been found by the Evenstar which then purged every living thing into space to stop the spread of infection. This meant that the starship was a floating block of ice not able to do anything. 

If that was true then who send the message????
