On Stardate 2407.03.04 Captain Devan Sash briefed select members of his crew of the impending execution of Lt. Dru Tagon, a long time crewmember of the [[USS Nimitz]]. Tagon had been captured during a battle with Doenitz forces and after a show trial he was sentenced to death.

Admiral [[Robert LoDona]] and the [[52nd Fleet]] command made the decision that a rescue operation would be too risky and therefore could not be attempted. With fleet assets spread out over a wide area and in the aftermath of several extremely savage battles, LoDona was unwilling to risk the Nimitz and her crew in such an operation. Captain Sash and his team however had other plans.

Borrowing a Klingon B’rel class Bird of Prey, the IKS Hegh’delar, the team managed to infiltrate Doenitz controlled space under cloak and approached the prison facility of Djörn Major XJ-003 undetected. Their mission was to infiltrate the station, penetrate it's security, and then rescue Lt. Dru Tagon.

==Djörn Major XJ-003 Command Personnel:==

In charge of the Djörn Major Facility for over twenty years was Administrator [[Hyrim Kuln]] who had built his career and a major part of his life around the station, making it one of the most successful maximum security penal institutions in the UFP Penal system. Before his take-over the facility was known as one of the most violent of Federation penal facilities, with inmate murders, riots an escapes being an almost every day occurrence. With the previous three Administrators guilty of embezzling funds from the stations operational budget, Djörn Major XJ-003 was on the verge of bankruptcy and collapse when Kuln took command. It took Kuln less than three months to turn the facility around and in the twenty years since the facility has maintained a spotless record.

The enigmatic [[Sirius Krell]] served as Kuln's Assistant Administrator and as his right hand. Among his many innovations during his time on Djörn Major was a highly trained Tactical Security Team which far exceeded anything offered by standard station security personnel. Krell also streamlined station operations and instituted numerous changes that increased station operational efficiency while decreasing operational costs. Krell served aboard Djörn Major for nearly six years.

Rounding out Djörn Major's command personal was [[Darnar Brokas]] who served as the Head Gaolor at Djörn Major for nearly twenty years. Brokas was initially posted to Djörn Major as a quartermaster, but was reassigned to the temporary position of Head Gaolor after the prior Gaolor had been killed during a prison riot. In time the posting became permanent. Brokas worked tirelessly to control the prison population, sometimes resorting to violence and subterfuge. He was charged on several occasions with improper conduct, although none of the charges were ever substantiated.

==Telepathic Mayhem:==

During the trip to Djörn Major a number of unforeseen events occurred that became a threat to the success of the mission before it had even really started. [[Divon Lronen]], the Nimitz ships Counselor collapsed into unconsciousness without apparent reason within hours of the rendezvous with the Hegh’delar. He remained in a coma for the rest of the mission despite the best efforts of Doctor [[Jonas Lemar]] and the Nimitz’ Assistant Counselor, [[Cecilia Bruce]].

Shortly after this incident Ensign(jg) [[Harry Doorman]] assaulted without cause or warning, Ensign(sg) [[Eric McDermott]]. In a subsequent conversation with Counselor Bruce after the incident Doorman appeared confused and even went so far as to state that McDermott had forced Doorman to attack him. Later that evening Doorman attempted suicide by trying to blow himself out of an airlock.

The final incident occurred during the second day aboard the Hegh’delar during a mission briefing. The senior tactical officer aboard, Ensign(sg) McDermott appeared distracted and confused and the plan he submitted for the rescue action was unusually brief and his explanations for his plan was both terse and hostile. The meeting eventually devolved into a bitter confrontation between McDermott and Ensign(jg) Thom Hania.

In a later confrontation with Captain [[Devan Sash]], McDermott became even more uncharacteristically confrontational and emotional and nearly attacked his own Captain. It soon became obvious that McDermott was suffering from great duress and was only partially aware of his surroundings.

It was at this point that Ensign Bruce intervened and explained to the Captain that McDermott was part Betazoid and was suffering from some kind of Telepathic overload. Bruce had been keeping McDermott’s true nature a secret, as even he was not aware of his own heritage and she had yet to decide how to break the news to him.

It was only through later investigation by Bruce, that proved that the incidents were caused by Lt(jg). Lronen. Lronen, had been seriously affected by a previous telepathic incident in which his own mind had been overwhelmed and was in turn inadvertently affecting everyone else on board the Hegh’delar, including the unsuspecting Doorman and the untrained McDermott.

Bruce who suspected the problem that Lronen was having was unaffected.

The end result was that Lronen and Doorman spent the rest of the mission in the Hegh’delar’s small sickbay and McDermott was treated with telepathic inhibiting drugs to allow him to think clearly. McDermott was further declared unfit to participate in the extraction mission by Captain Sash and was ordered to remain aboard the Hegh’delar.

==The Rescue:==

The rescue team was made up of two elements; the first led be Captain [[Devan Sash]] was made up of the majority of the Nimitz Personnel with the exception of Lt. Commander. [[Jonas Lemar]], Ensign(sg). [[Eric McDermott]], Ensign(jg). Tral and Ensign(jg). Lawrence Drake.

Sash’s team infiltrated the station with extensive help from Ensign(sg). [[Ahmed Ibn Salid]]. The Nimitz’ Chief Engineer came up with a number of ideas included a cloaking armored EVA suit, modified from the available Klingon EVA suits, attuned to the Hegh’delar’s cloaking device; A series of portable sensor ghost generators, and a mobile handheld command net interdiction device which later allowed the crew limited access to the station’s main computer systems. Unfortunately despite successful tests of the stealth suits aboard the Hegh’delar, the stealth features mysteriously failed once aboard the station.

The Nimitz Assistant Counselor [[Cecilia Bruce]] also came into her own during the course of the operation as she was called upon on numerous occasions to use her skills to detect approaching station security personnel and on one occasions rendered an entire security detail unconscious without a shot being fired by the two opposing forces. Bruce also lent some less obvious support by keeping in touch with Ensign(sg). Eric McDermott who was still aboard the Hegh’delar, telepathically, allowing Captain Sash to stay abreast of what was happening aboard the Klingon vessel without having to communicate directly with it.

The captain’s team using stealth and speed was successful in capturing the stations computer core and from there the team was able to wreck havoc on the facility. Ensign Salid worked in concert with Ensign(sg) Tom Jackson to disable the stations shields and weapons. Salid also created a powerful plasma surge through the tactical systems. The end result was the unexpected explosion of the Station’s Ventral Shield Generator, which was responsible for extensive damage to the station and the deaths of hundreds of station personnel including the stations Engineering Chief.

The second team was made up of the Klingon crew of the Hegh’delar led by the Nimitz’ Second Officer, Lt. Commander. [[Jonas Lemar]]. Despite heavy opposition Lemar and his team were able to fight there way to the Maximum Security Detention Area where Lt. Tagon was being held and link up with Captain Sash’s team.

In the confrontation with the Starfleet Marine Detachment led by Major Julian Wells, Ensign Bruce was able to negotiate a ceasefire in order to prevent any further casualties to both sides. Wells heavily outnumbered and in danger of being overwhelmed, agreed in order to buy time for more station security to arrive on the scene in order to tip the balance in his favor. As part of the agreement Wells agreed not to interfere with Sash or his team unless they endangered the life of Lt. Tagon.

Part of the security to prevent Tagon’s escape was an explosive collar that would detonate if he were moved too far away from its automated triggering device. Captain Sash discovered a way to disable the device and to the surprise of Wells and his detachment, the rescue team was beamed away with the newly liberated Lt. Dru Tagon.

==The Murder of Major Julian Wells:==

Despite the odds against them, the extraction team led by Captain [[Devan Sash]] and Lt. Commander [[Jonas Lemar]], had succeeded in infiltrating the maximum security section of the station and rescued Lt. Dru Tagon after having fought the marine detachment of Major Julian Wells to an uneasy stalemate.

It was at that point Captain Sash ordered Ensign(sg). [[Cecilia Bruce]] to enter into negotiations with Major Wells and she was able to appeal to the Major’s sense of honor resulting in a ceasefire agreed to both by him and Captain Sash. While it was obvious that the Major had an ulterior motive to agreeing to the ceasefire, specifically the probability that more reinforcements would arrive to assist him, he agreed to terms.

During the ceasefire the team was able to free Tagon from his cell and the only moment of tension occurred when Wells and his Marines moved to prevent the extraction team from moving Tagon out of the vicinity of the maximum security cell block. Wells ordered the move however to save the life of Tagon who was wearing and explosive collar which would detonate upon him being removed from the immediate vicinity.

As such Wells had not violated the provisions of the ceasefire as he had stated from the outset that as long as the prisoners life (Tagon) was not endangered he and his men would not interfere.

Captain Sash used the time to discover a way to defeat the explosive collar and with that done ordered a STS transport right out from underneath Major Wells’ nose.

It was at this precise moment that a member of the rescue team threw an explosive charge at Wells and his marines at the moment of beam out. (See the [[Hania/Wells Post|Post.]])

Witnesses to this action were Ensign(sg) Cecilia Bruce, Ensign(jg) Raymond Kean and Security Crewman Tek Gizell.

After successfully escaping from Djörn Major, Bruce informed Captain Sash who had not witnessed the incident, of the action so that he could take formal action against guilty officer. During the subsequent interview, the officer freely admitted to taking the action and did not seem to believe that he had done anything wrong at all.

It was at that point that accused officer insinuated that Bruce had betrayed him and then without further warning, collapsed and died, toxicology tests indicate poisoning as the cause of death.

Initial investigation of the death has been ruled by the Investigating Officer as a suicide. The further investigation continues at this time.

Subsequent intelligence intercepts indicate that Major Julian Wells was killed as a result of this act. As a result this incident is classified as a premeditated murder, as well as a direct violation of Starfleet Special Order Number Two.

While an initial report has been issued on this incident the investigation is ongoing due to a number of 'issues' with the findings of the investigating officer.

==IKS Hegh'delar vs The USS Vindicator:==

Ensign(sg). [[Eric McDermott]], Ensign(jg) Tral and Ensign(jg). Lawrence Drake remained on board the IKS Hegh’delar while Captain [[Devan Sash]] and Lt. Commander [[Jonas Lemar]] led the away teams on Djörn Major. This turned out to be an unparalleled opportunity for these young officers as during the course of the mission, the Defiant Class Starship, USS Vindicator discovered the cloaked Hegh’delar in close proximity to the station. In the resultant clash, McDermott took command of the Hegh'delar and working together the three young officers fought their first starship engagement.

Despite being overmatched, the trio succeeded in leading the USS Vindicator in a nearly forty-five minute long hit and run battle which eventually resulted in the crippling of the Vindicator and the death of her Captain along with nearly half of her crew. In the climax of the battle McDermott made use of a modified version of the ‘Picard Maneuver’, which would later come to be called [[McDermott’s Sidestep]]. After the Vindicator was disabled the Hegh'delar was able to pick up the rescue team and Lt. Tagon without further incident and withdraw from the system.

==52nd Fleet Intelligence Update:==

With the successful rescue of Lt. Dru Tagon the political and military repercussions of the Djörn Major incident were widespread. With the apparent deaths of Administrator Kuln and Assistant Administrator Krell as well as the death of Starfleet Captain Laura Bentsen, officials in the Doenitz regime were looking for a scapegoat.

The senior Doenitz officer on the scene, a Captain Harl Whorlet of the USS Nightshade arrested the only remaining Djörn Major Officer, [[Darnar Brokas]] on Stardate 2407.03.10 on the charges of Treason and obstructing an investigation. Whorlet was convinced that Brokas was an accomplice to the team that freed Dru Tagon, and that he was responsible for wiping the facilities computer logs and murdering the Administrator and Assistant Administrator, as well as wiping his own memory.

On Stardate 2407.03.11 a Special Tribunal found Brokas innocent of the charges of treason and obstruction, although they did find him guilty of gross incompetence and he was banned from again working in the Federation Penal System. While it is not clear how Brokas avoided being found guilty of all charges, it can be speculated that the former Head Gaolor had some means of influence that allowed him to escape virtually unscathed.

After the trial Darnar Brokas disappeared and his current whereabouts are unknown.

While Administrator [[Hyrim Kuln]] and his Assistant [[Sirius Krell]] have been presumed dead by 'official' Federation Investigators, recent evidence points to the possibility that the two escaped through some as yet unknown means. Their current location and status remains unknown at this time.

Cecilia is a petite five feet, five inches tall and weighs one hundred and twenty pounds. She has red hair, which varies in length depending on her preference, and hazel eyes. She prefers dance or martial arts to keep in shape to most other kinds of exercise, but has been known to jog on occasion to clear her head.

Cecilia is the daughter of Alexander Thomas Bruce, (Human) and Kristina Bruce, (Betazoid). They met while serving Starfleet on the USS Redriver. Alexander was the ships Chief Engineer for ten years and Kristina was the ships Chief Operations Officer.

Once they fell in love and decided to get married they quickly made plans to leave Starfleet. They settled down near Edinburgh Scotland where Alexander had been raised. Alex quickly found an appointment with the government and the aerospace industry building starships. Red (nickname) was born two years after they had settled down.

As education is very important to the Scottish people, it was the same for Alexander and Kristina. Therefore, Cecilia was sent to the best schools that they could afford and then on to college. While she was not always at the top of the class, but, as her dad taught her; she gave it her all and was not ashamed when she wasn’t on top.

When Bruce entered college she wasn’t sure what field of study she wanted to go into. Initially she just started the general classes that she had to complete, before starting into her major. After two years of studying, while in the library reading up on some research material she came across some writings of a Betazoid named Kestra. The journal was entitled the Emotional Aspects of Languages, which were also called Troi Theorism of Languages.

Bruce was astounded that Kestra had also been awarded a Noble Peace prize for the same work. Kestra was also awarded permanent membership in the Federation Language League, something that only a few of her age had ever accomplished. After reading the paper she read up on who exactly [[Kestra Troi]] was, but, could only find things about her early years and a brief entry about her going into counseling with Starfleet.

Bruce spent the rest of her seven years in college following Kestra’s footsteps to be a Counselor and a linguist. This also was when she started to excel academically. Bruce read everything she could put her hands on, mostly what pertained to her area of study.

Although focused on her field of study Bruce also knew that extra-curricular activities would help keep her body in shape for the rigorous training she would go through when she applied to Starfleet. She took classes in ballet, drama, debate and martial arts, in which she participated on the various teams as well as academic teams. She wanted to live up to her full potential for her parents and in the shadow of Kestra Troi.

Her family’s expectations and the expectations of their lineage were very important to Bruce. Her family valued education and achievement over all else, and she found herself constantly driven by a desire to gain their approval. Since Cecilia was not a full Betazoid, her mother, Kristina also taught her what she could of the laws of telepathy. At this time Bruce only shows empathic talents from her Betazoid heritage.

During her time on Geneva, Bruce met several new officers who like her were all transferring to the Nimitz, but one stood out from the rest for her, Ensign [[Eric McDermott]]. She immediately knew that she felt something from him, but their duties kept them apart during the crisis on Geneva. At the conclusion of the mission during a going away party in Ten Forward, Bruce had the opportunity to dance with Eric and it was a life changing experience for both.

While they were dancing, she inadvertently saw into his mind and discovered who or more accurately what he really was. After discovering that he was part [[Betazoid]], something that he was not aware of and knowing how he felt about Telepaths like herself; she became distraught and ran out.

While initially there were numerous misunderstandings between the two mostly due to McDermott’s own inexperience and failure to understand his own feelings or Cecilia’s. The couple have overcome these challenges due to the powerful bond that has developed between them. As a result the two have now become Imzadi as well as lovers.

==Starfleet History:==

Cecilia’s father had always followed the political situation in Starfleet and the Federation. While at the Academy her father told her that he wanted her to go to Genena and to serve on the [[USS Nimitz]] where a close friend of his, [[Devan Sash]] is the captain.

Once Cecilia graduated however, her father had already made the arrangements to have her transferred out to the 52nd fleet and Geneva hoping that she could get an assignment there away from [[Rodrigo Doenitz]].

==First Assignment: [[USS Nimitz]] NCC 75878-E==

Bruce was assigned to the [[USS Nimitz]] upon graduation from the Academy as its Assistant Counselor.

Bruce was appointed as Nimitz ship Counselor on Stardate 2407.03.21.

On Stardate 2407.02.16 Bruce was promoted to Ensign(sg).

On Stardate 2407.03.22 Bruce was promoted to Lieutenant(jg).

==Mission one: A Taste of Hate.==

On Stardate 2407.02.07 Cecilia received notice of her assignment to the [[USS Nimitz]] and left for [[Geneva]] to meet up with her new ship.

After arriving and securing temporary quarters, she reported in to Lieutenant Commander [[Ulia Mason]], the station First Officer. Bruce was informed that attackers unknown had assaulted the officer she was to work under on the Nimitz, Lieutenant Lronen. She was immediately tasked to go to Geneva Sickbay and see what she could do to help in finding out how he was and who attacked him. She was also informed that the attack could have possibly been due to the fact that he was not human and that the faction, [[Humans for Humanity]], was believed to be operating on Geneva.

It is believed that Humans for Humanity had bio-engineered a virus that attacked only humans with the intent to make it look like aliens were the cause. On Stardate 2407.02.09 she was recruited to help with station security in dealing with panicking mobs.

For her actions in assisting with the treatment of Lieutenant Lronen and during the crises on Geneva, She was promoted to Ensign(sg) by Captain [[Devan Sash]]. Cecilia was finally able to assume his duties aboard USS Nimitz as Assistant Counselor on Stardate 2407.02.16.

==Mission Two: [[Djorn Major Incident|For a Friend]].==

On Stardate 2407.03.07 Captain [[Devan Sash]] called a meeting and explained to all senior members that he intended to rescue Lieutenant [[Dru Tagon]]. (Later known and the [[Djorn Major Incident]]) Tagon had been recently captured in action by Doenitz’s forces, placed on trial, convicted and sentenced to death. Sent to the prison station at Djorn Major, Tagon was to be executed. Sash’s intent to rescue Tagon went against the orders of Admiral [[Robert LoDona]] who had expressly forbidden the action. Sash made the decision to make the attempt anyway and asked for any volunteers to go with him. While Bruce was ambiguous about taking such an action she felt she had no choice but to accompany the team as the ships Counselor, Lt. Lronen was going, and she suspected that the Counselor was still suffering from the after affects of his attack on [[Geneva]] during the previous mission. The fact that Ensign [[Eric McDermott]] was also going along made her decision and she joined the team to look after them both.

During the mission, Bruce had to use her abilities time and time again to help keep crew members of the prison facility or her own crewmates from being killed. This overuse of her abilities became taxing and she eventually overextended herself to the point of sheer exhaustion, despite this she did not let up in order to prevent as much killing as possible. Unfortunately, even with her effort the death toll was high. When they reached the maximum-security area, of the prison that Tagon was being held in, Sash ordered her to try and establish a cease-fire with Major Julian Wells, commander of the Starfleet marine detachment in charge of Tagon’s security. Despite the odds she was successful in getting the Major to agree to the cease-fire.

After they had achieved a cease-fire with Major Wells, the team succeeded in defeating the security systems and released Tagon from his prison. It was at this point that they discovered that he was wearing an explosive collar that would go off if he were moved out of the area, killing him in the process. With the help of Captain Sash the team discovered a way to defeat the system in order to remove Tagon from his cell, with the collar still intact, and leave the station.

At this point disaster struck as while they were beaming out, Ensign [[Thom Hania]] against orders and in violation of the negotiated cease-fire threw an explosive charge at the Major and his men, even though the team was successfully withdrawing from the scene.

At first opportunity upon arriving back aboard the IKS Hegh’delar Bruce reported to Sash and informed him about Ensign Hania’s violent act. During the confrontation with Captain Sash over the events that occurred on the station, Hania collapsed and died, himself, the victim of poisoning.

Despite the fact that the mission was unauthorized, Bruce did not face charges or sanctions upon returning to the Nimitz.

==Mission Three: [[To Skin a Cat]].==

The USS Champlain is dispatched to the area of the Typhon Expanse to investigate [[Ivor Prime]].

Ivor Prime was a former Federation colony destroyed by the Borg in 2373. The former colony is to be surveyed and a report on the suitability for recolonization is to be sent in to Admiral Lodona. As this is on the fringes of areas of Borg sightings, as well as being in an area strategically important to Admiral Doenitz, the danger is high.

A small away team comprised of Ensigns [[Derrick LaQua]], SO; [[Olen Rhinehart]], Couns; [[T’Larah Sullivan]], ATAC/ASC; and [[Brianna Frazier]]; Ops, and led by Captain [[Edward Wolfe]], has been dispatched on a classified mission to secure the strategically important DS5 for Lodona’s 52nd Fleet. The objective is infiltrate the station, and then to convince its Andorian commander, Captain U'gaeth, a Doenitz loyalist, to step down. He will be replaced by the station’s First Officer, who is aligned with Lodona. The specially modified, moderately disguised shuttle in which the team is approaching the station is also carrying weapons for Lodona’s forces.

The mission appears fairly simple. If all goes as planned, the takeover will be bloodless. The team is as well-prepared as possible, but with the exception of Captain Wolfe, they are all green. Wolfe is more aware than the rest of his fresh team how a simple seeming mission can go awry.

A small team led by Captain Edward Wolfe, and including myself, was tasked with the liberation of space station Deep Space 5 from the command of Captain U'Gaeth, who had declared himself loyal to Doenitz. My role on the team was that of negotiator, and my mission profile was to facilitate the handover of the station and U'Gaeth's surrender with a minimum of bloodshed.

We were to infiltrate the station covertly, and to that end, our shuttlecraft was disguised as one of the station's own, heavily damaged and in need of assistance. Ensigns Frazier and Sullivan were to be beamed aboard on approach, exploiting a small shield flaw, and disable the station's shields entirely, allowing the shuttlecraft to dock with the station. From there, Frazier and Sullivan were to make contact with the station's FO, Anne Tilden - a LoDona loyalist - and support her in taking command of the station.

From there we were to proceed to the command module and persuade the Andorian Captain U'Gaeth to stand down and allow us to take him into custody.

With this aim in mind, I researched and compiled a dossier of media coverage, eyewitness accounts and 52nd Fleet reports detailing the genocide committed by Admiral Doenitz – paying particular attention to his sacking of Andoria, Captain U'Gaeth's homeworld, and capital of the Andorian Empire.

My plan was to use this material to undermine U'Gaeth's loyalty to Doenitz by confronting him with the horror of what had happened to his people, and then guarantee the safety of his family in exchange for his peaceful co-operation.

We made our way to the communications suite without incident, leading us to believe that we had not yet been discovered. However, as soon as we were inside, the doors were sealed, trapping us, and toxic gas was pumped into the room through the ventilation ducts. While Ensign LaQua worked on the translators, I was ordered by Captain Wolfe to attempt to plug the vents while he tried to open the door. I improvised a method of blocking the vents using bandages from an emergency medical kit, but picked up an injury in the process. Ensign LaQua succeeded in disrupting communications, and Captain Wolfe abandoned efforts to open the door, since security forces had been dispatched to our location. Instead we made our escape into the station's Jefferies tubes. I was forced to utilise emergency painkillers in order to continue and not jeapordise the mission.

After a lengthy climb, we found ourselves at the command module where LoDona-loyal Fifth Columnists were in a protracted firefight with U'Gaeth's forces, having tipped their hand. Pinned down by phaser fire, we joined the battle - until I spotted U'Gaeth attempting to escape to a turbolift. Assisted by a Fifth Columnist, I was able to stun him and bring him to cover.

Upon reviving him, Captain U'Gaeth was initially hostile and refused to co-operate. However, once he was shown proof of Doenitz's crimes against sentience, he was quickly pacified. At this point, I became aware of the price that my plan had exacted – we had taken the station with a minimum of bloodshed, but U'Gaeth's will was utterly, perhaps irrevocably, broken.

There, the stress of the mission and the pain of my injury quickly overwhelmed me and I passed out. Upon waking in the Champlain's sickbay, I learned that I had suffered a severe allergic reaction to the emergency painkillers I had used. I also learned that the Champlain had been involved in a protracted stand-off with the Doenitz-loyal [[USS Wyvern]]. However, details of this encounter remain unknown to me at this juncture.

I make the recommendation that he be carefully monitored in the days and weeks to come. I consider him a high suicide-risk, and he should be allowed contact with his family with all possible haste in order to avert that possibility.

Kestra has a well proportioned, 120 pound, tanned, 5' 5" frame. She carries waist length auburn hair that surrounds her face that has a some what pointed chin and blackish eyes. After the birth of twins, she has been unable to regain her 115 pound figure.

==Family and Background:==

Kestra was born into the fifth house of Betazed (House of Nobility) at At'kae on Betazed in the year 2373. She is the daughter of Ae'Siner and Li'suni Troi.

Ae'Siner Troi is currently the Betazoid Ambassador to Terra. Li’suni and Kestra traveled over the galaxy with Ae'Siner meeting different peoples and races. She spent a lot of her early years under her fathers’ feet watching him carry out his duties as ambassador. She continually asked questions and tried to learn everything she could of her fathers work. She began picking up the different languages spoken and soon was discussing the different ways each race handled themselves.

Her father began to notice that picking up languages was very easy for Kestra. He began to ensure that whenever he was to meet with a new race that he took her with him. So, she got an education in linguistics early in her life.

Even at a young age, she started trying to solve people’s problems. She would sit for hours listening and then trying to come up with solutions. Her parents saw that she had the talent for linguistics and for problem solving so they decided to plan her schooling toward a career in counseling.

2383 Kestra learns to speak fluent Vulcan, Romulan and English while staying with her parents on Starbase 21 along the Romulan Border during trade Negotiations. No one notices until young Kestra translates for her parents and other members of the Federation ambassadorial team when the universal translators malfunction.

2385 While traveling with Ambassador Ae'Siner Troi, Kestra starts a diary of various impressions and adult insights that will form the basis of her a paper she will write.

2387 Kestra takes the 3rd seat in the Masters Level English Horse on Betazed.

2388 Kestra takes the 1st seat in the Masters Level English Horse on Betazed. It was a close competition, she won by successfully performing 3 difficult jumps in a row. Laural Diae, her closest competitor only made 2 of the jumps. A very exciting year.

2389 Kestra becomes interested in martial combat. She eventually decides to learn an obscure form of martial combat called Wing Chun. She also begins to study all forms of Betazed hand to hand combat.

2390 Kestra Troi writes her groundbreaking paper The Emotional Aspect of Languages. Its poise and polish cause it to become widely read and published throughout the Federation. Its theories are soon adapted into the new Troi Theorem of Languages. The 17 year old is heralded as a child prodigy.

2390 Kestra is inducted into the Sisterhood of Betazed. Despite the fact she has steadfastly refused previous offers to join the Sisterhood, she is finally tricked into joining. A Grand Ball was held in her honor and at the ball she is inducted.

2392 Awarded the Noble Prize on Earth for her ground breaking work on the Emotional Aspects of Languages. The Federation Language League (FLL) grants Kestra Troi a permanent membership in its society. The FLL was instrumental in getting her the Noble Prize. She is also awarded a Doctorate in Languages by The Vulcan School of Diplomacy.
