Varios has been mistaken for a Vulcan once or twice as, like them, he has pointed ears. However his ears curve to a softer point and his eyebrows are shaped more like a Human's than a Vulcan's. He is dark skinned with close cropped hair, which he always wears the same style. He is unconcerned with fashion and does not experiment with it. His clothing is quite conservative, he favors practicality over flashiness and prefers natural tones and simple patterns. He isn't a fan of glittery or shiny fabrics.
 
Will usually be seen wearing glasses around the ship. He has two pairs, they have the same frame but one has clear lenses and the other pair has slightly tinted lenses. He wears the clear lenses when the ship is on it's "night" cycle, where the lighting is reduced to simulate the evening. He wears the tinted ones if he is around the ship during the "day" cycle as it is generally brighter and can strain his eyes after a while. The same principle applies for when he is on an away team, he does not like to use contact lenses. His eyes glow in dull or gloomy conditions when reflecting light rays.

Varios was raised by the Haemachuo Organisation. He was always a cheery, thoughtful boy with a talent for creative thinking which made him excel at problem solving. He proved to have an interest and talent for mathematics and was always good at logical thinking and reasoning. He also did well with history and sciences but wasn't as good with creative subjects or languages. Later as he gained in confidence they found he excelled at practical things and showed a strong interest in technology and had an aptitude for mechanical and engineering work.

===Secondary Education===
 
By the time Varios graduated from Secondary education he had successfully transitioned to living on his own and supporting himself. He had shown adequate knowledge and understanding of [[The Fallen Branch]] and societies ways. He had acquired all the core skills necessary to pursue a number of careers, such as skilled trades (joinery, plumbing, electrician etc) and other careers in the mechanical or engineering industries, alternatively he was free to go on to advanced studies.

Varios went on to complete his FALL year as a receptionist in a local hospital and during this time, began to form an idea of how he wanted to live his life..

Varios was born in one of the specialized birthing units and taken immediately to the nearest Haemachuo facility where he was assigned his Haemachuo carer. He was raised with three other children of the same age as him, they lived as a family unit and grew to be very close. He did not meet his biological parents until he was 10 and considered to be mature enough to meet them. He has never developed much of a bond with them, though he has always maintained a civilized level of contact with them as is considered proper. The relationship between them can be described as friendly and polite and there are no strong attachments between them. Varios is a lot closer to his brother and two sisters, who he considers his real family and has always made a point of keeping in contact with them as well.

===Teenage Life and Graduation===
 
Varios completed his FALL year as a receptionist in a local hospital. Most students who chose to work got placements in government run facilities to enable easy monitoring of the young members of society. Parents and other family members also played a key role in ensuring that their sons or daughters were settling in properly. Varios had always had a kind heart and desire to help so while he worked in the hospital he developed a desire to help others in some capacity. As the year wore on he found himself considering going on to further education and training to become a nurse. He discussed this idea with his siblings and family and they explained to him that it wasn't where his skill-set lay. It was not socially acceptable for someone with a strong skill-set in one area to pursue a career in something they have shown a much lesser competence in. They encouraged him to think of another more suitable path but Varios still harbored the dream. When it became clear to his family that he was not readjusting his objective they were required by societies norms to submit him for attitude readjustment.

Over a number of months Varios saw a counselor who helped Varios alter his way of thinking, and helped set him back on the right path. It was agreed by all that the natural curiosity Varios had, and his high level of competence would make him a good candidate to become a StarFleet engineer. So with the blessing of all, Varios was allowed to apply to StarFleet Academy. When his application was accepted, he was assigned an Al-Leyan mentor based at the Academy to ensure that he continued to live and abide by [[The Fallen Branch]]. Failure to do so would have meant him being pulled from the Academy and sent back to Leya-I for punishment.

Ensign JG Varios Rydan is currently serving as an assistant chief engineer (ACEO) on the [[USS Spectre]], which is the first [[Spectre Class]] ship to be launched. It is a Black ops ship serving [[52nd Fleet]] under the command of [[T'Vhor|Captain T'Vhor]] with [[Hoshimi Tsukawa|Commander Hoshimi Tsukawa]] serving as First Officer.

Al-Leyans have had and developed cloaking technology in use on their military ships for some time, but it is new technology for the Federation. Varios is particularly interested in the ship's inter-phase cloaking device and considers it an offence to install and run a device with such poor safety standards and history. Using his keen knowledge of engineering and their own people's cloaking technology he hopes to be able to develop the device and bring it up to an acceptable level of operational efficiency and safety.

Posting Requirements:

All players are required to post twice a week to stay in active status. If anyone does not post within a week, they move to semi-active status. After two weeks of being in semi-active status, they are removed from the game, no questions asked!

To prevent this, just send a note to the head of the game explaining why you cannot post for a while and a compromise will be reached. We don't want you to get kicked out, the object is to have fun!
Problem Solving Structure:

If there is a problem with anyone in the game, try to solve it with that person, if that doesn't work, then you use the following...

It should be solved by the Fleet CO level, if not, then there is a major problem somewhere in the system!!!

If it needs to go beyond the ship to the Fleet CO, then you will be given the opportunity to post an email to the Fleet CO, giving them all the same information. Varios has been mistaken for a Vulcan once or twice as, like them, he has pointed ears. However his ears curve to a softer point and his eyebrows are shaped more like a Human's than a Vulcan's. He is dark skinned with close cropped hair, which he always wears the same style. He is unconcerned with fashion and does not experiment with it. His clothing is quite conservative, he favors practicality over flashiness and prefers natural tones and simple patterns. He isn't a fan of glittery or shiny fabrics.
 
Will usually be seen wearing glasses around the ship. He has two pairs, they have the same frame but one has clear lenses and the other pair has slightly tinted lenses. He wears the clear lenses when the ship is on it's "night" cycle, where the lighting is reduced to simulate the evening. Later as he gained in confidence they found he excelled at practical things and showed a strong interest in technology and had an aptitude for mechanical and engineering work.

Varios was born in one of the specialized birthing units and taken immediately to the nearest Haemachuo facility where he was assigned his Haemachuo carer. He was raised with three other children of the same age as him, they lived as a family unit and grew to be very close. He did not meet his biological parents until he was 10 and considered to be mature enough to meet them. He has never developed much of a bond with them, though he has always maintained a civilized level of contact with them as is considered proper. The relationship between them can be described as friendly and polite and there are no strong attachments between them. Varios is a lot closer to his brother and two sisters, who he considers his real family and has always made a point of keeping in contact with them as well.

===Teenage Life and Graduation===
 
Varios completed his FALL year as a receptionist in a local hospital. Most students who chose to work got placements in government run facilities to enable easy monitoring of the young members of society. Parents and other family members also played a key role in ensuring that their sons or daughters were settling in properly. Varios had always had a kind heart and desire to help so while he worked in the hospital he developed a desire to help others in some capacity. As the year wore on he found himself considering going on to further education and training to become a nurse. He discussed this idea with his siblings and family and they explained to him that it wasn't where his skill-set lay. It was not socially acceptable for someone with a strong skill-set in one area to pursue a career in something they have shown a much lesser competence in. They encouraged him to think of another more suitable path but Varios still harbored the dream. When it became clear to his family that he was not readjusting his objective they were required by societies norms to submit him for attitude readjustment.

Over a number of months Varios saw a counselor who helped Varios alter his way of thinking, and helped set him back on the right path. It was agreed by all that the natural curiosity Varios had, and his high level of competence would make him a good candidate to become a StarFleet engineer. So with the blessing of all, Varios was allowed to apply to StarFleet Academy. When his application was accepted, he was assigned an Al-Leyan mentor based at the Academy to ensure that he continued to live and abide by [[The Fallen Branch]]. Failure to do so would have meant him being pulled from the Academy and sent back to Leya-I for punishment.

Ensign JG Varios Rydan is currently serving as an assistant chief engineer (ACEO) on the [[USS Spectre]], which is the first [[Spectre Class]] ship to be launched. It is a Black ops ship serving [[52nd Fleet]] under the command of [[T'Vhor|Captain T'Vhor]] with [[Hoshimi Tsukawa|Commander Hoshimi Tsukawa]] serving as First Officer.

Al-Leyans have had and developed cloaking technology in use on their military ships for some time, but it is new technology for the Federation. Varios is particularly interested in the ship's inter-phase cloaking device and considers it an offence to install and run a device with such poor safety standards and history. Varios has been mistaken for a Vulcan once or twice as, like them, he has pointed ears. However his ears curve to a softer point and his eyebrows are shaped more like a Human's than a Vulcan's. He is dark skinned with close cropped hair, which he always wears the same style. He is unconcerned with fashion and does not experiment with it. His clothing is quite conservative, he favors practicality over flashiness and prefers natural tones and simple patterns. He isn't a fan of glittery or shiny fabrics.
 
Will usually be seen wearing glasses around the ship. He has two pairs, they have the same frame but one has clear lenses and the other pair has slightly tinted lenses. He wears the clear lenses when the ship is on it's "night" cycle, where the lighting is reduced to simulate the evening. He wears the tinted ones if he is around the ship during the "day" cycle as it is generally brighter and can strain his eyes after a while. Later as he gained in confidence they found he excelled at practical things and showed a strong interest in technology and had an aptitude for mechanical and engineering work.

Varios was born in one of the specialized birthing units and taken immediately to the nearest Haemachuo facility where he was assigned his Haemachuo carer. He was raised with three other children of the same age as him, they lived as a family unit and grew to be very close. He did not meet his biological parents until he was 10 and considered to be mature enough to meet them. He has never developed much of a bond with them, though he has always maintained a civilized level of contact with them as is considered proper. The relationship between them can be described as friendly and polite and there are no strong attachments between them. Varios is a lot closer to his brother and two sisters, who he considers his real family and has always made a point of keeping in contact with them as well.

===Teenage Life and Graduation===
 
Varios completed his FALL year as a receptionist in a local hospital. Most students who chose to work got placements in government run facilities to enable easy monitoring of the young members of society. Parents and other family members also played a key role in ensuring that their sons or daughters were settling in properly. Varios had always had a kind heart and desire to help so while he worked in the hospital he developed a desire to help others in some capacity. As the year wore on he found himself considering going on to further education and training to become a nurse. He discussed this idea with his siblings and family and they explained to him that it wasn't where his skill-set lay. It was not socially acceptable for someone with a strong skill-set in one area to pursue a career in something they have shown a much lesser competence in. They encouraged him to think of another more suitable path but Varios still harbored the dream. When it became clear to his family that he was not readjusting his objective they were required by societies norms to submit him for attitude readjustment.

Over a number of months Varios saw a counselor who helped Varios alter his way of thinking, and helped set him back on the right path. It was agreed by all that the natural curiosity Varios had, and his high level of competence would make him a good candidate to become a StarFleet engineer. So with the blessing of all, Varios was allowed to apply to StarFleet Academy. When his application was accepted, he was assigned an Al-Leyan mentor based at the Academy to ensure that he continued to live and abide by [[The Fallen Branch]]. Failure to do so would have meant him being pulled from the Academy and sent back to Leya-I for punishment.

Ensign JG Varios Rydan is currently serving as an assistant chief engineer (ACEO) on the [[USS Spectre]], which is the first [[Spectre Class]] ship to be launched. It is a Black ops ship serving [[52nd Fleet]] under the command of [[T'Vhor|Captain T'Vhor]] with [[Hoshimi Tsukawa|Commander Hoshimi Tsukawa]] serving as First Officer.

Al-Leyans have had and developed cloaking technology in use on their military ships for some time, but it is new technology for the Federation. Varios is particularly interested in the ship's inter-phase cloaking device and considers it an offence to install and run a device with such poor safety standards and history. Using his keen knowledge of engineering and their own people's cloaking technology he hopes to be able to develop the device and bring it up to an acceptable level of operational efficiency and safety.

Varios has been mistaken for a Vulcan once or twice as, like them, he has pointed ears. However his ears curve to a softer point and his eyebrows are shaped more like a Human's than a Vulcan's. He is dark skinned with close cropped hair, which he always wears the same style. He is unconcerned with fashion and does not experiment with it. His clothing is quite conservative, he favors practicality over flashiness and prefers natural tones and simple patterns. He isn't a fan of glittery or shiny fabrics.
 
Will usually be seen wearing glasses around the ship. He has two pairs, they have the same frame but one has clear lenses and the other pair has slightly tinted lenses. He wears the clear lenses when the ship is on it's "night" cycle, where the lighting is reduced to simulate the evening. He wears the tinted ones if he is around the ship during the "day" cycle as it is generally brighter and can strain his eyes after a while. The same principle applies for when he is on an away team, he does not like to use contact lenses. His eyes glow in dull or gloomy conditions when reflecting light rays.
 
Due to his naturally dense muscular structure he is naturally stronger than the average human. He likes to keep fit by running but isn't particularly strong by Al-Leyan standards and his body is of average build.

Varios was raised by the Haemachuo Organisation. He was always a cheery, thoughtful boy with a talent for creative thinking which made him excel at problem solving. He proved to have an interest and talent for mathematics and was always good at logical thinking and reasoning. He also did well with history and sciences but wasn't as good with creative subjects or languages. Later as he gained in confidence they found he excelled at practical things and showed a strong interest in technology and had an aptitude for mechanical and engineering work.

===Secondary Education===
 
By the time Varios graduated from Secondary education he had successfully transitioned to living on his own and supporting himself. He had shown adequate knowledge and understanding of [[The Fallen Branch]] and societies ways. He had acquired all the core skills necessary to pursue a number of careers, such as skilled trades (joinery, plumbing, electrician etc) and other careers in the mechanical or engineering industries, alternatively he was free to go on to advanced studies.

Varios went on to complete his FALL year as a receptionist in a local hospital and during this time, began to form an idea of how he wanted to live his life..

Varios was born in one of the specialized birthing units and taken immediately to the nearest Haemachuo facility where he was assigned his Haemachuo carer. He was raised with three other children of the same age as him, they lived as a family unit and grew to be very close. He did not meet his biological parents until he was 10 and considered to be mature enough to meet them. He has never developed much of a bond with them, though he has always maintained a civilized level of contact with them as is considered proper. The relationship between them can be described as friendly and polite and there are no strong attachments between them. Varios is a lot closer to his brother and two sisters, who he considers his real family and has always made a point of keeping in contact with them as well.

===Teenage Life and Graduation===
 
Varios completed his FALL year as a receptionist in a local hospital. Most students who chose to work got placements in government run facilities to enable easy monitoring of the young members of society. Parents and other family members also played a key role in ensuring that their sons or daughters were settling in properly. Varios had always had a kind heart and desire to help so while he worked in the hospital he developed a desire to help others in some capacity. As the year wore on he found himself considering going on to further education and training to become a nurse. He discussed this idea with his siblings and family and they explained to him that it wasn't where his skill-set lay. It was not socially acceptable for someone with a strong skill-set in one area to pursue a career in something they have shown a much lesser competence in. They encouraged him to think of another more suitable path but Varios still harbored the dream. When it became clear to his family that he was not readjusting his objective they were required by societies norms to submit him for attitude readjustment.

Over a number of months Varios saw a counselor who helped Varios alter his way of thinking, and helped set him back on the right path. It was agreed by all that the natural curiosity Varios had, and his high level of competence would make him a good candidate to become a StarFleet engineer. So with the blessing of all, Varios was allowed to apply to StarFleet Academy. When his application was accepted, he was assigned an Al-Leyan mentor based at the Academy to ensure that he continued to live and abide by [[The Fallen Branch]]. Failure to do so would have meant him being pulled from the Academy and sent back to Leya-I for punishment.

Ensign JG Varios Rydan is currently serving as an assistant chief engineer (ACEO) on the [[USS Spectre]], which is the first [[Spectre Class]] ship to be launched. It is a Black ops ship serving [[52nd Fleet]] under the command of [[T'Vhor|Captain T'Vhor]] with [[Hoshimi Tsukawa|Commander Hoshimi Tsukawa]] serving as First Officer.

Al-Leyans have had and developed cloaking technology in use on their military ships for some time, but it is new technology for the Federation. Varios is particularly interested in the ship's inter-phase cloaking device and considers it an offence to install and run a device with such poor safety standards and history. Using his keen knowledge of engineering and their own people's cloaking technology he hopes to be able to develop the device and bring it up to an acceptable level of operational efficiency and safety.
