Jaton is a tall man but of proportionate weight. His pale skin contrasts sharply with the spots along his body and with his hair, which he keeps short and utilitarian. He is very fastidious about his appearance and likes to keep himself rather clean cut. He wouldn't be caught dead looking disheveled.

== Family ==

Jaton was born the eldest of four, and grew up in the city of Tresh on the east coast of the main continent of the Trill homeworld. His parents were both low-level members of the diplomatic corps, but were upwardly mobile. They were definite urbanites. They spared no expense t make sure that their children had every advantage to catapult them to the top of the societal heap. As such, Jaton was sent to Earth at the age of 15 for an extended exchange program. He attended three years of high school in the city of Kayseri in central Turkey. It was there, with its unique geology, that he truly fell in love with the science.

With everything his parents shoved under his belt (not that he would complain; Jaton was very grateful for each opportunity), the Symbiosis Commission took him like a shot. He was even given the honor of becoming the first host of the Alyl symbiont. His parents were extremely proud of him for that achievement, and happily mentioned it at every opportunity.

Jaton graduated from the Academy during the 2414 Winter Term, and was immediately assigned to the Gannicus. He was dispatched via high speed shuttle along with fellow crew members [[Adrian Lanney]] and [[Ashley Vesper]]. His expertise in geology was required for the Gannicus' mission to the volcanic ice world Sigma Theta V, during which he served as bridge support staff.

A few broken bones in his record, thanks to some reckless daredevil stunts in his youth.

== Skills ==

Jaton is a born scientist. Though his best discipline is geology, he does his best to keep up with as many disciplines of science as he can. Following geology, his best fields are chemistry, biology, and physics.

== Hobbies ==

While Jaton behaves quite prim and proper when necessary, he likes to cut loose when he can, despite his parents' best efforts. Growing up near the sea, Jaton became (and still is) a total beach bum. While he was on Earth, he would often chew through his transporter credits beaming all over the world to surf some of the best beaches on Earth. His proudest moment was surfing Pipeline in Hawaii while at Starfleet Academy during the biggest swell of the year.

==Commanding Officer`s Update==

The USS Hades has been in Spacedock for weeks, but now she has been released and is headed for the sub-space river as part of her shake-down cruise. In the aftermath of the civil war, the New Federation is starting to rebuild, and as plans are put in to action, the Federation looks set to become a greater empire than it ever was.

The idea of this new Federation has peaked the interest of it neighbours, namely the [[Romulan Star Empire]]. The new [[Romulan Praetor]] and his [[Romulan Senate|Senate]] have expressed a desire to establish a new peace treaty, and build bonds of friendship and generally improve relations within the quadrant.

As a result, the USS Hades has been ordered to transport an ambassador to meet with the [[Romulan Praetor|Praetor]] on [[Romulus]] and discuss details of this new treaty. While this is taking place, the USS Hades and her crew are to be on standby, to assist the ambassador, and ultimate to the bring him home.

According to intelligence reports, members of the [[Romulan Senate|Imperial Senate]] have already expressed objections to the peace treaty. With tensions mounting and old racial intollerances surfacing, the crew must keep a level head and be prepared for anything in Tribuo Senatus: A Senate Divided.

== Biography ==
Rose was born in Shannon, Ireland, the second of five. While she would sometimes help out her siblings on the farm when she was a child, she usually could be found studying music with her father. From an early age, she loved music. In her youth, she studied many different instruments, and also became a competent singer before settling of a Terran flute. She still sings a bit (a soprano), but most of her energies are focused on her flute work. She and her parents worked tirelessly during her last year of secondary school, and in 2398, she got a place at the the Conservatoire de Paris. She graduated in 2401 in the middle of her class. However, since she attended such a widely regarded school, she was courted by many different orchestras from across the planet. She finally settled on the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London, taking the position of third flute.

She stayed with the Royal Philharmonic for ten years, eventually advancing to first flute. But in 2411, she needed a change in scene. Like many others in her family, she got bitten by the wanderlust bug. She didn't immediately resign from the Philharmonic, however. She took a leave of absence, and returned to her parents' home in Ireland for several months. She began looking at other orchestras on Earth, trying to figure out which one she wanted to join. After months of searching, she settled on the Orchestra of the Federation, based out of San Francisco, considered to be the national orchestra of the Federation. After an audition, she gained entry in the position of fourth flute. This might have been a demotion on paper, but she was happier than ever in her new role.

Eoin was born on Stardate 60238 in Shannon, Ireland, the middle of five children. He grew up on a small farm not far outside the city, where he helped the hired hands with much of the work that needed to be done. His father, whose family had owned the property since at least the mid-20th century, split his time between managing the farm and travelling all across Earth for concerts, as he was an accomplished cello player. His mother was a full time painter. She insisted that her children sit for a portrait once every year, and Eoin still has a copy of his last portrait. It was his mother, too who taught him how to speak Irish Gaelic, and always insisted he use it when speaking to her family.

As the middle child, Eoin was passed over many times, and while his older and younger siblings were sent off to study the arts either with their parents or talented artists nearby, Eoin was many times left to his own devices with the farmhands. Many people thought that he would be the one to inherit the farm someday, but that changed when he joined Starfleet.

Eoin did not go right into the Academy after graduating Secondary School. Instead, he enrolled in University College, Dublin. There, he majored in Exolinguistics. During his first semester alone, he was required to become fluent in all official languages of the Alpha Quadrant powers. Needless to say, it was a lot of work. After the end of the first semester, however, he realized that the Universal Translator had basically eliminated the need for interpreters, so what was a budding linguist to do? Join Starfleet.

With all the credits Eoin already had under his belt, he was able to skip the first semester of Exolinguistics at [[Starfleet Academy]]. So, instead of taking Dead Languages the first semester, Eoin enrolled in the Computing Languages concentration for the first semester. This eventually led him to declare a minor in Engineering. Of course, he had his work cut out for him in Exolinguistics, but he convinced himself that Engineering was just another language to master.

He also met several friends that he still keeps in contact with. They were [[Lo'ren T'Vof]], [[Yuri Abelev]], and [[Apollo Stevens]]. The three of them stayed together all four years, and became known all throughout campus. Whether they were famous or infamous depends on who you talk to. Boothby spoke highly of the group, however.
