==Early Life==

Brian Romeo was born on April 13th, 2370 to August and Yanja Romeo in the Colony 32 hospital on [[Deneb IV]]. He was an only child.

Brian excelled at schoolwork and was instructed by a Vulcan Tutor named T'Vek. he was taught strong logic and science skills and it soon became apparent that he was capable of grasping complex scientific concepts.

At the age of ten, Brian's mother died of [[Denebian Phage]], a wasting disease that consumes the internal organs of those infected. Brian's father grew distant, although he continued to have the boy well-educated.

When he was fourteen (2384), Brian's father decided to marry another woman, named Belinda Rosenbauer, a widow whose husband was killed three years earlier.

They married and moved in together, and Brian suddenly found himself living with a younger stepbrother [[Mike Rosenbauer]].

The two boys never got along as the larger and older of the two was constantly aggressive towards his younger brother.

In 2388, Brian managed to land himself a university scolarship at Melbourne University on Earth. He worked until he could secure passage there and left Deneb with the intention to never return home.

His area of study at the university was scientific in nature. As was to be expected, he excelled in scientific pursuits, but soon became bored with his studies. 

Brian took up sports and then changed his degree to Criminal Science. He graduated with honors in 2392.

He made his way to San Francisco and immediately applied for Starfleet Academy. He was accepted and began his training later that year. He specialized in Tactics and security procedures with a minor in Sciences.

He graduated the academy class of 2396, ranked 21st in his class. he was then assigned to his first Duty Assignment.
