==Background== The Cabal received its support from a mysterious humanoid from the 28th century. Common modifications to members of the Cabal included the addition of two bronchial tubes, altering the alveoli clusters to process multiple atmospheres, the installation of subcutaneous pigment sacs, certain telepathic abilities including measuring trust, and biomimetic clothing. In exchange for their modifications, the Cabal carried out tasks for its master from the future, who was involved in a Temporal Cold War. The faction backing the Cabal was incapable of physically manifesting in the past; they could only appear as silhouettes. (ENT: "Broken Bow", "Cold Front") The Cabal's military forces included ships such as the cell ship and the stealth-cruiser, as well as installations like the helixes. (ENT: "Broken Bow", "Shockwave") Not all Suliban belonged to the Cabal, such as those in Tandaran detainment camps. Some members, such as Sarin, grew disgusted with what the Cabal had done and left. (ENT: "Broken Bow", "Detained")
