Home to the Federation and Starfleet, the bureaucratic centre continues on despite several losses, departures of member worlds, a shrunken fleet. The Federation is not what it once was.

After the defeat of Admiral Doenitz and his breakaway Starfleet forces, a new direction was proposed and adopted. '''President Stiave Atremi''' led the civilians while updating Starfleet's Charter to return the ways of exploration, expansion and cooperation. She made mistakes, but in the end, Starfleet Command was balanced for the future.

The rebuilding effort that began in 2444 has continued, with the 52nd Fleet reformed and operating from the Mars Defense Perimeter. Starfleet is once again venturing out into the Alpha Quadrant, rebuilding alliances, protecting member worlds, and resuming exploration missions.
