== Background ==
Emily was born on a Transport Vessel. Her parents, not being married, decided it would be easier to give her up for adoption. She was adopted by the Star famliy - who named her. Her Betazoid abilities didn't surface till she was in her mid-teens. Her parents were told that she wasn't a usual Vulcan as her blood was red- but they weren't sure to what extend her mixed abilities would come out. Emily didn't know how to cope with being half and half. Her parents, being human, couldn't empathize with the confusing thought patterns and emotional battles. She grew angry and acted out in school.
