==Tactical System== The ship is also equipped with the latest weapon technologies : 4x Class III rapid fire pulse cannon, 1 Type XIV Phaser Bank (output of 120 000 Terawatts), 3x Pulse Fire quantum torpedo tube and 1x Probe/Photon torpedo launcher. One of the best improvement on the USS Starfire is the new deflector and emitter technology, allowing for both a double-layers shielding and improved rotation coefficient. Starfleet engineers found a way to create two layers of shield by creating a dual-deflector dish. The layers can be superposed because of their different wave pattern. Such technology boost shield efficiency by 15% (now 3 762 000 Terajoules) and allows for a decreased chance of momentary failure of the shields since one layer will still be active if the other layer fail. The most important advantage is against the Borg. Because there is two layers of shield, it take longer for the Borg to adapt to the two-layer shields rotation, making the shields of the USS Starfire particularly efficient against them.
