As Operations Officer for the fleet of shuttles, she was responsible for their day to day power maintenance. When the Chief of Operations was injured during a mission Dartena was called to the bridge to take the Ops station and has stayed there taking Beta Shift. Since that time, Dartena took part in several missions, including one to stabilize the planet Terellia (End of Days) after officers loyal to [[Doenitz]] created conditions that were killing the planet and its inhabitants.
