==Family and Background== Loren's parents died whilst she was quite young and she and her brother [[Toral Shun|Shun]] were taken under the care of Commander Sam Kaneshiro. Loren assumed responsibility for her brother and this led to her becoming rather a serious child. Later when Sam was officially listed as missing Loren and her brother became the legal wards of [[Susan Rivers]]. The two siblings currently live with Susan and her partner, Lt Col. [[Leonal Drizzt]].
