==Pre-Starfleet History==
Ilana was born in the south west of England the youngest of five brothers, she always looked up to and admired her brothers, and her mother and father who all worked in starfleet. Because of the temperamental nature of their lives at the age of 12 Ilana was place in a full term boarding school. She was able to see her parents when ever they managed to get planet leave. Slowly but surely all of her brothers joined starfleet and she was sure she would follow in their foot steps. She was only fourteen when her father and two eldest brothers died. While she was distraught this didn't effect her determination to join Starfleet. She had already made her life plans out. While she knew she didn't have the physical prowess of her older brothers she knew, like her mother, her avenue into starfleet was through her scientific back ground. Even at the age of fourteen she showed an aptitude with biology. At the age of nineteen when her mother and next oldest brother died both her and Keith her youngest brother talked endlessly about their role in joining starfleet whether they should or not. However two years later when Ilana graduated Salotorian from Exeter university she knew she couldn't deny her passion and enrolled at the academy seeking a Science or Medical posting.
