Physical Description
Despite Alex's physical statue he is not very memorable, partially because he likes it that way. Everything about him screams average, he is somewhat attractive with no distinguishing marks. The one thing that sets himself from other people is the near constant exhaustion that can be seen in his face from hours of overwork.

==Family and Background==
Alex's childhood was a lonely one. His father was not an intentionally cruel man, but he tended to favor Alex's older more athletically inclined brother Adam and Alex's mother followed suit. As a result of this Alex has drifted far apart from his parents, any hint of a relationship was all but destroyed when his twenty-first birthday was forgotten. This was the final reason to join the academy, simply so he did not have to deal with their awkward attempts at apologizing.

==Education==
Alex was educated on Earth and received a degree in psychology before joining starfleet. People assumed that he wanted to be a counselor, but he coolly replied that he planned to use his skills to hurt the enemy, people should help themselves.

==Pre-Starfleet History==
The situation with his peers was not very good as Alex simply was not socially proficient. To make up for this he soon began to see everyone as something he could analyze. Every person was simply a mass of thoughts and experiences to be studied and used at Alex's discretion. His talent for studying the mind did not go unnoticed and soon he was urged to become a psychologist. But he found the work to easy and frankly unsatisfying. He did not care about helping people, he simply cared about figuring out what made them tick. He decided to take his skills to starfleet. He reasoned that he could take his skills and use them in a much more challenging environment.

He frequently overworks himself when dealing with an interesting problem. When he does so he becomes so immersed in solving it that he simply forgets that his body has limits. This often makes him deal with exhaustion and other related health problems.

Alex is very good at reading and analyzing people. He has also shown a remarkable aptitude for dealing with Tactical situations.
