Editing Beast of Color II

The [[Beast of Color II]] was a winged creature that was encountered in 2414 by the crew of the [[USS Boudicca]] on a survey mission to the planet [[Color II]]. The creature was telepathic and had some ability to spread a necrotic virus of some sort that caused the deaths of the majority of the planet's colonists. The Virus did more than just kill them, it also caused them to become somewhat Zombiefied.

The beast was able to somehow control the inhabitants through the use of his telepathy, although the exact mechanism was never discovered. The creature managed to make telepathic contact with two members of the boudicca's crew. [[Detron Trei]] and [[Meggan Puceanu]]. Both persons were aboard the Boudicca at the time, giving a good indication of the strength of the ability that the creature possessed.  

Due to the violent and horrific nature of the attack, it was deemed hazardous to attempt to open any form of contact with the creature. In the end, an egg, belonging to the creature was located in the geothermal tap facility that was responsible for creating a duonetic field that was playing havoc with the Boudicca in orbit. It was destroyed, and subsequently the beast was also destroyed. It is believed that the beast may be the last of it's kind due to a message that it sent to Meggan Puceanu just prior to it's death. The message was sent to late to afford the creature any mercy.
