The Dagger Beast is a semi-sentient animal that resides on Axtis III. The animal is renown for their cunning and cleverness. They are resiliant and very dangerous foes and as a result they are given a great deal of respect. They are so effective as hunters that they are considered one of the trials that must be undertaken for the Ch'mok a traditional trial of redress among the natives of the planet. In this capacity, they are hunted by a lone hunter, who must kill them, and then boil their livers into a thick paste. This paste is very noxious and causes extreme nausea and vomitting. The second portion of the trial is to refrain from vomitting longer than your opponent. Because of the difficulty in hunting and killing the dagger beast, the Ch'mok is rarely invoked. As a result it remains one of the most effective laws on the planet. ---- The Dagger Beast was first seen in the USS Rosenante and USS Boudicca joint mission,Personal Logs
