[[File:Derok.webp|thumb]] Age:21 Sex: Male Birthplace: Bajor, Kendra Province Species: Cardassian Eye Colour: Blue Hair Colour: Black Height: 6'4" Weight: 195 lbs Blood Colour: Red Skin Colour: Grey Physical Description: Current Rank: Lieutenant Current Position: Engineering Assignment: USS Hades Background: Emar Derok was born in the Kendra province of Bajor to Kelmar Derok, a Cardassian male and Saresh Derok, Saresh was half Bajoran half Cardassian female. His family were Kava Farmers in the Eastern Kendra Valley region. Emar was raised as a farmer and learned how to work on the various pieces of farming equipment to make repairs. Eventually Emar came up with ways to increase efficiency by designing and building upgrades. It became very apparent that Emar, even as a child, had an engineering talent. The Derok family had held residence there for many decades leading back to occupation. The Derok family had a reputation for not being cruel towards the Bajorans and even aided the resistance even though the resistance believed even peaceful Cardassian citizens were just as guilty as the Cardassian military. The Derok family supplied the Bajoran resistance with valuable information on the movements of Cardassian patrols in the area. Education: As Emar grew he became more and more interested in pursuing a life outside of Kava Farming. Emar was enrolled at and attended High-school on Earth at Admiral Thomas Farring High-school in Texas. The school was a boarding school which offered housing so children could attend the school while their parents were off-world. Admiral Thomas Farring High-school offered an excellent Engineering program. Upon graduation at the age of 16 Emar enrolled immediately into the Federations Engineering program, which he completed in two then immediately applied for and got accepted into Starfleet Academy at the age of 18 in 2441. Pre Starfleet: Emar excelled in courses such as Material and Propulsion Engineering. In his 3rd year at the academy he began to tutor other cadets in Components Engineering Courses, such as Computer systems, Impulse and Warp systems and Engineering utilities. Emar Graduated in 2445 with 56 Credits, 8 credits more that the expected 48 for an engineer. Starfleet: Upon Graduation Emar was given the rank of Ensign Sg. For his accomplishments in the academy and was assigned to Starbase freedom as a part of the Engineering team. Tasked with doing repairs and modifications around the starbase and also working with repair crews to service the various vessels that would visit the Starbase Medical: Hobbies: Emar enjoys watching movies, music and loves to cook. Emar, even though an engineer loves to read and watch medical documentaries, something he will admit keeps him up at night with interest. Other: Emar is a very neat and organized person. Taking great care to properly organize and catalog his belongings, even his tools. Emar is always willing to help others and seldom the one to take credit in group activities, placing the success of the group above his own contributions.
