Doctor Gena Harvey was the Chief Medical Officer for Starbase 989 in 2413, when Captain Joseph Taylor was murdered. She was a primary suspect as she was one of two of the captain's lovers at the time. The second was the starbase's chief Security Officer Adraa Mosul Harvey had been working on containing an outbreak of Rossi Arian Pox which had been discovered aboard one of the merchant vessels visiting the starbase and so was unaware that the Captain had been murdered. She immediately suspected that the Captain was murdered by one of the station's Ferengi inhabitants. She listed Braak, Quol Nor and Pez as possible suspects. She also advised the investigating officer from the USS Rosenante that she and Taylor were planning to retire very soon on Risa. Doctor Harvey resigned her commission and returned home to Earth shortly after the death of captain Taylor. ---- Dr. Harvey was first seen in the USS Rosenante mission Touch of the Eidolon
