The Izaldi was a Kozani Rescue vessel that was dispatched in 2414 to render assistance to the USS Rosenante after that vessel suffered extensive damage caused by a spontaneous eruption of a Plasma Field Storm. The vessel was specifically designed for the purpose of recovering ships that had suffered structural integrity field failure. In the Rosenante's case the damage was very extensive and the ship was only able to be towed because the Izaldi was able to generate an Inertial Dampening Field around the damaged ship. The Izaldi was captained by Captain Tamdra Iz. The vessel carried the Rosenante to their twin worlds Kozan and Kozana. There the Rosenante was repaired in one of the Kozani starship drydock facilities. During that time, the Rosenante crew took some much needed Shore Leave. ---- The Rescue Vessel Izaldi was first seen in the USS Rosenante Mission : A Port in the Storm
