Jupiter (or Sol V) is the fifth planet of the Sol system. ==Moons== Jupiter has the most moons of any planet in the Sol system with 63 known moons, including Ganymede. (Star Trek: The Motion Picture; TOS: "By Any Other Name") ==History== The first permanent Human presence near Jupiter may have been established by the end of the 22nd century. By 2151, Jupiter Station in orbit of Jupiter served as a repair facility to Earth Starfleet. (ENT: "Silent Enemy", et al.) Jupiter Outpost 92 was one of the outposts established in the vicinity of the planet. (TNG: "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II") The Jupiter Mining Corporation is in charge of mining the planet. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) Jupiter was seen on a map depicting the Sol system watched by Nomad. (TOS: "The Changeling") According to Arex, the cosmic cloud encountered by the USS Enterprise in 2269 was twice the diameters of Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune in size. (TAS: "One of Our Planets Is Missing") [[Category: Planets]]
