The maQmIgh (or “Dark Omen”) was invented by its present owner: [[Lanista|tlha’nISta’]], daughter of QolloH. It was built for the final battle with Admiral Qurta.
The confrontation between tlha’nISta’ and Qurta was to be planet-side. The maQmIgh was developed to circumvent Qurta’s planetary defenses and to transport tlha’nISta’ to Qurta’s lair. (Atmospheric conditions would have prevented transporter beaming.)
While the actual combat was hand-to-hand, the maQmIgh would have been more than capable of killing the Admiral. tlha’nISta’ had allowed Vulcan logic to dictate most of her strategy during the 5-year-long House Feud. However, in the final analysis, Klingon honor demanded a face-to-face battle.
*FMSPE – while developed to serve as a countermeasure to deflector shielding, the FMSPE can generate a range of subatomic particles, creating a variety of desired effects.
*RBMDS – can, depending on payload, launch tens or even hundreds of micro-devices. Micro-probes can deployed quickly as a ‘satellite network’ around any given phenomenon while micro-torpedoes (if part of the loadout) would effectively create ‘a swarm of angry hornets.’
*Monotanium, used for the outer surfacing, refracts sensor signals – making the vessel difficult to acquire as a target.
