Wings?</font> </strong></p></td>

<p>Awarding a special recognition 
to pilots in the form of a badge containing the 
representation of wings is an ancient and honorable 
tradition. <br>
<br>
With the addition of the Fighter Command to Star 
Fleet's ranks, this tradition has been revived. 
Active duty fighter pilots are eligible to receive 
up to four sets of wings during their career. Only 
the most recent award may be worn on the uniform. 
<br>
<br>
Pilots who transfer to another department are no 
longer eligible to earn higher level wings. Pilots 
who transfer to another department, other than command, 
are no longer eligible to wear their wings on their 
uniforms, though the award is not removed from their 
service record. Pilots who are promoted into the 
command department of their duty station (the ship 
or station where their fighter squadron is based), 
may continue to wear their wings on their uniforms, 
but are not eligible to earn advancing levels of 
wings. <br>

<br>
Wings are worn on the left side of the chest, above 
the com badge. On duty uniforms, the wings are worn 
above the color boarder between the grey shoulders 
and the black body; the com badge below the seam.</p>

Upon completion of flight school, and assignment to an active fighter squadron, a pilot is eligible to receive junior pilot's wings. <br>
<br>
The wings may be issued by the Fighter Squadron Commanding Officer, after the pilot's initial check flight with the squadron.</p>

Upon completion of one mission with the fighter squadron, a pilot becomes eligible for full pilot's wings.

These wings may be issued at the Fighter Squadron Commanding Officer's discression.</p>

Upon completion of ten missions as an flight leader or above; and after having created a story arc of three to five posts, which introduces a major/semi-major duty station plot line, a pilot becomes eligible for recognition as a senior pilot. <br>
<br>

The Fighter Squadron Commanding Officer must petition the duty station Commanding Officer for permission to make this award.</p>

Upon completion of twenty missions, including a minimum of five as a Fighter Squadron Commanding Officer; and provided the pilot has introduced a minimum of three story arcs, including a minimum of one major duty station story arc, a Senior Pilot becomes eligible to be a Command Pilot. <br>

The Fighter Squadron Commanding Officer must petition the duty station Commanding Officer for this award.</p>
