The Shungar was a typical Opthidian Scout ship and was encountered at Davros III by the USS Rosenante. This ship led a small task force of scout ship's to the colony in the hopes of stopping a nanoviral outbreak on the colony. The vessel reportedly encountered and destroyed a Ferengi Marauder, which had been responsible for the theft of the nanovirus that caused the outbreak. Additionally this vessel participated in the attack upon the Star Hawk, the privately owned profiteering vessel. The Star Hawk was lost as a result of the damage that she sustained in the battle although the vessel's owner Chance Raschen was rescued by the USS Rosenante. ---- This vessel was first encountered during the Rosenante Mission: A Fine and Private Place
