Solosos III is a planet in the Demilitarized Zone, the site of a Maquis colony.

In 2373, Captain Benjamin Sisko ordered the USS Defiant to fire two [[Quantum Torpedo]]es with a 400 kilogram payload of [[Trilithium Resin]] into the atmosphere of Solosos III, rendering it uninhabitable to Humans for the following fifty years. His actions were designed to force Maquis leader Michael Eddington to surrender himself and the biogenic weapons he had been deploying against the Cardassians. The planet was subsequently settled by [[Cardassian]] refugees displaced from [[Veloz Prime]] and [[Quatal Prime]]. (DS9: "For the Uniform")
