The [[Skorr]] [[Swiftwing Class]] Fighter is the staple tactical combat fighter used by the [[Skorr|Skorr Hierarchy]] military forces. They are widely deployed and are present in force on all Skorr Planets, and critical outposts. In addition each [[Worldripper Class]] [[starship]] carries twenty-four full combat wings of these vessels.

The ship is considered the pinnacle of fighter design by most major powers of the [[Alpha Quadrant|Alpha]] and [[Beta Quadrant]]s. The [[Romulan]] [[Scorpion Class]] fighter was, in fact, designed to counter the design of the Swiftwing fighter. 

These vessels are resilient and battle-proven. They have seen action in conflicts in the [[Romulan Star Empire]], [[Orion Syndicate]], [[Cardassian Union]] and against the [[Borg Collective]]. The vessel is currently in it's twelfth generational incarnation and is a highly effective weapon.

The speed and agility of the Swiftwing is unrivaled among vessels of similar class and size. The vessel's advanced inertial dampening systems and structural integrity systems are far advanced of most other species allowing for extreme maneuverability without risk to pilot or co-pilot. 

They possess a great top-speed and operational range, making them a long-range tactical vessel without equal.

The advanced four-wing design, allows for the placement of advanced turbo pulse phaser strips. These strips allow the ship to engage an enemy regardless of orientation to the fighter. These systems are complex and require the addition of a co-pilot to operate them. In addition to the turbo pulse phaser strips the ship possesses 4- forward mounted pulse disruptors. These disruptors are an amalgamation of adapted Borg and Romulan disruptor technology. The weapons are designed to interfere with energy fields, allowing the ship to weaken the shields of larger vessels allowing for more effective use of their pulse phaser strips. In addition to these energy weapons, the vessel possesses 6 hard points, each of which is capable of accepting a variety of weapon, or support system load outs. Among the possibilities are externally launched quantum torpedoes, sensor pods, mines, surveillance or scientific probes or ground assault weapons.

Redundant critical systems design allow for combat zone survivability, even after sustaining heavy damage.

This makes the Swiftwing fighter capable of fulfilling a variety of combat and support rolls as the mission dictates.
