Synaptic Reconstruction is a medical technique designed to neutralize the synaptic pathways responsible for deviant behavior. This procedure is banned in the United Federation of Planets, however it is used throughout the Cardassian Union and the Orion Syndicates. A more advanced version of this technique is performed to mold individuals to a specific set of behaviors. In this method the behavior is hardwired into the patient and can not be easily reversed.
