Mother: Dana Fraiser (Betazoid), Father died before she was born. Her mother remarried and her step father, James,  is human, also a doctor. Her parents now work together on the USS Discovery. She has no brothers or sisters.

Academic Institutions Attended: Chirac Medical school, Marseilles. Starfleet Academy, San Fransisco Tayla was born in France and attended preschool there. Her family moved to San Fransisco and Tayla went to the McCoy Medical institute prior to attending Starfleet academy. It was here that she discovered she wanted to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a doctor in the fleet. 

Tayla had an easy childhood and spent many a long hour learning to hone her telepathic powers. She has great control over them but often found that heightened emotional states can cause her to loose that control. She discovered she wanted to become a Doctor when she saw her mother save the life of one of her school friends and, ever since that day, made it her mission to become a doctor and help save lives. 

==Starfleet Career==

Tayla has had a distinguished career as a doctor through out the fleet. Having recently had some personal problems with her last Captain, Hank Tomlinson, she has recently been assigned to the USS Rosentante.

Tayla enjoys walking on the holodeck and is an accomplished Flautist. She loves to play her flute in private and enjoys being the life and soul of the party.

Tayla is a confident Doctor and thrives under pressure. She is great with people and loves nothing more than injecting humour into a stressful situation. She has great skills as a researcher and is an excellent surgeon. She also has good computer skills and is a dab hand with a phaser.
