Editing The County Cork

[[The County Cork]] is a traditional Irish style pub located in the promenade on [[Starbase 989]].  The establishment has imported hard wood furnishings and is home to a true [[Guinness]] draught beer.

The Pub was discovered by [[Rank|Commander]] [[Matthew McLaren]] on Stardate 2413.12.30. He discovered that the pub served traditional Irish food as well as more meager fare such as steaks. He determined that the Steaks were the best he had eaten since leaving [[Earth]].

The Pub is also known for holding sporting parties, where people gather to watch recordings of their favorite sports. During those particular times, the room can be quite noisy.

The pub became the cornerstone for the sponsored New Year's Eve Party on 2413.12.31. There were several members of Starfleet there from both the [[USS Rosenante]] and the [[USS Boudicca]] when a massive power failure took place on the station, sparking Panic and [[riot]]s. The County Cork was protected from the worst of the looting and rioting due to the presence of those [[Starfleet]] officers, although both [[Braak's Bar]] and [[RJs]], both nearby, were terribly damaged.
