Editing Tholian Silk

[[Tholian Silk]] is a rare and prized cloth, produced by the xenophobic [[Tholian]]s. 

Benjamin Sisko managed to obtain Tholian silk for Kasidy Yates in 2372. In order to acquire the silk, Sisko had to call in a favor from a Tholian [[ambassador]]. (DS9: "The Way of the Warrior") 

Given the extreme heat of the Tholians' natural environment, it may be speculated that Tholian silk is a highly resilient fabric, which could account for it being so valued. It is unknown if the silk is produced by the Tholians themselves; if they do naturally spin webs it may help to explain the design of their spacecraft.
