Torven III is a Class N world and is located deep inside Orion Syndicate space. It was known as a haven for the well known slaver and smuggler Doyle O'Banyan. In 2408 the USS Rosenante visited this system in an attempt to track down the Cartenian Prince Khamal who had been kidnapped by Orion agents to prevent his completion of a peace treaty that would end a 400 year long war and put an end to Orion war profiteering. The planet is orbited by a single moon named Xanadu Gothos which is the location of a secret base of operations belonging to O'Banyan. The Rosenante crew negotiated with O'Banyan who managed to rescue the prince from the clutches of Morella whom had kidnapped him. ---- This planet is first mentioned in the USS Rosenante Mission: Letters of Marques.
