The USS McCoy was a Federation Hospital Ship of the 52nd Fleet. The ship is a vessel of the Olympic Class. In 2403, the McCoy, joined Task Force 19 in the planned invasion and attack on Sector 001. The ship served as a medical vessel during the attack, rescuing injured Starfleet crews from the wreckage of destroyed and damaged starships. She did not distinguish between the wounded from the 52nd Fleet or from those ships loyal to Admiral Doenitz. She was ordered destroyed by the captain of the USS Reprisal during the battle for the Mars Defense Perimeter. The First Officer of that ship Commander Alan Durand refused those orders sparing that vessel and all the wounded that she was carrying. The McCoy went on to continue her service to all those in need of Medical attention.
