This device was devleoped by Damar as part of an effort to disrupt the self-replicating minefield blocking off the Bajoran wormhole. <br /> <br /> The emitter produced a field of antigraviton particles to fool proximity detonators on the self-replicating mines. With the detonators disabled, the entire minefield could be detonated simultaneously, thus preventing automatic replication of individual mines.
