[[Barzan II]] is the second planet in the Barzan system and home to the Barzan species. The planet possesses few, if any, natural resources and an atmosphere that is toxic to most humanoids. <br />

In 2366, the [[Federation]] participated in negotiations for the rights for the [[Barzan Wormhole]], which had been discovered near Barzan II and appeared once every 233 minutes. The starship USS Enterprise-D hosted the negotiations in orbit of Barzan II due to the planet's atmospheric inhospitablity. In the end, it became clear that the other end of the wormhole was not stable, and its possible use as a resource vanished. (TNG: "The Price") <br />
