In 2269 the [[asteroid]] Yonada, inhabited by the Fabrini, threatened to collide with the planet, endangering the planet's population of 3.724 billion people. Fortunately Yonada's course could be altered away from Daran V. (TOS: "For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky") <br />

Daran V was mentioned as a small note on a very large star chart graphic created for TNG: "Conspiracy". It was the image behind the chair in the room where Dexter Remmick was killed. It appears to be located within an outlined block, which may indicate that it was surrounded or was even a part of Federation territory at the time. It appears to be near [[Lactra VII]]. <br />

Similarly, Daran V also appeared on a star chart in astrometrics in VOY: "Child's Play" and "The Haunting of Deck Twelve". <br />
