When the Gorn refused to join Doenitz's forces, Doenitz sent a fleet of ships to the Cestus system. Captain North took his entire twenty four ship task force ahead to 'scout' the area, but actually not only warned the Gorn Hegemony that Doenitz was coming, but joined the Gorn Defense Fleet and gave the Gorn valuable data on Doenitz's forces. Because of his interference, the Gorn were able to hold off Doenitz's invasion long enough for reinforcements to arrive and managed to win the battle of Cestus. The USS Yattervol is currently on station in Gorn Space along with approximately thirty renegade starfleet vessels that are unable to make it through Doenitz's lines to get to LaDonna's forces. The North's fleet is currently helping the Gorn forces defend their territory from Doenitz's belligerence.
