The pulse reset the Bird-of-Prey&#039;s defective plasma coil, triggering the cloaking device and causing the shields to drop.<br /> <br /> This tactic saved the Enterprise from further attack, however, the damage from the battle caused a coolant leak in the warp drive resulting in a core breach.
