	After completing his work on the USS Triton in 2385, Jewort was moved to work on field testing for a new Perimeter Patrol Vessel for use on the boarder of the [[Neutral Zone]] with the [[Romulan Star Empire]]. At the time of his assignment, the Archer Class spaceships were assigned an NX designation and only three had been built, the USS Archer, the USS Caladon and the USS Nagasaki. Jewort took the lead on the ship he was stationed on, working on various problems with craft mobility and weapons arrangement. The small ship was easy to make manoeuverable, but difficulties ensued when firepower of any significant ~~strenght~~ was added. Jewort had to find some way to make the Nakasaki both functional and effective. The efforts of Jewort and his team were a success and the Archer Class starship is still in wide use for patrol services.
