[[Saltoric Radiation]] is a class III radiation type that is best known for it's ability to cause the rapid decay of [[Balyric Radiation]].

It was also determined that using a sheathing of Tricobalt-carbon ceramic alloy will shield sensitive components from the affects of Saltoric Radiation.

In 2414, the [[USS Boudicca]], was forced to use Saltoric Radiation emitters to break down an unwanted Balyric Radiation charge that had affected their EPS conduits severely constricting their flow of [[Electro-plasma]].

The Charge was a result of a specialized mine field that the Boudicca had encountered along the [[Sull Path]].
