			Young Sarah became the Guardian to her mothers sister, her Aunt Edna. Although suffering from some disciplinary problems early in her adolescent years, Edna Carver managed to shape Sarah into a disciplined and respectful young woman.

			Sarah was exposed to several cultures, as she tagged along with her aunt, who was a diplomat in the [[Federation]] Diplomatic Corps. She traveled to dozens of starsystems and learned thirteen different languages fluently. The young woman matured in a multicultural environment and these seed led to her application and admission to [[Starfleet Academy]] in 2388.

			Sarah graduated the academy with a degree in Operations Management and as a qualified first contact specialist in 2392. She rated very high in the top 1% of her class. It was no doubt then that she was destined to become a [[starship]] [[rank\|Captain]]

			Her first assignment began in 2392 aboard the USS Armstrong NCC-741111, where she served as a Operations Specialist. She found the routine of paperwork from an office boring, however, and in 2393 requested a transfer.

			That same year, she was accepted aboard the USS Victorious NCC- 46755 as a CONN Officer. She perfromed so well, in fact, that she soon became the lead CONN officer despite her lack of senority.

			She remained aboard the Victorious for 3 years, until in 2396, she was offered and accepted the position of Senior CONN Officer aboard the USS Republic NCC-64185. She was promoted to the rank of [[Rank\|Lieutenant Junior Grade]] in 2398.

			In 2402, She was once again Promoted, this time to the Rank of [[Rank\|Lieutenant Senior Grade]] and the position of Second Officer. She showed excellent judgement and displine during her time as the Republic's second Officer and was ear-marked for further promotion.

			In 2405, She was promoted once again. This time she was made a [[Rank\|Lieutenant Commander]] and was given the position of First Officer. She served with distinction during the [[Federation Civil War]] for the [[52nd Fleet]] and was promoted to [[Rank\|Commander]].

			In 2407, She was offered the captaincy of the USS Trafalgar NCC-76037. She commanded it for less than a year, as it was being decommissioned. Although the administrative work bored her, Sarah sought to make the best of the situation and maintained a strong and disciplined command, despite the fact that it was being disassembled around her.

			Her perseverance paid off, when in 2408, she assumed command of the USS Berlin NCC-81881. The Berlin was an explorer and finally Sarah was at home. Her leadership was strong and her crew one of the best in the fleet. She led over 200 missions in a little under four years.

			In 2412, she was transferred by command to the [[USS Bohrs]], with a new assignment. The ship's mission was to follow- through on strange reports and anamolous sensor readings that had taken place during the civil war. These were open mission files that Starfleet command wanted to close.
