The Rhyne was drawn into an alternate reality through a temporal displacement. During their time in the alternate universe, Kyllee&#039;s wife died with their unborn child. It was at this point that he lost all his faith in the prophets or any religious movement. He considers anyone who believes in the prophets to be a religious zealot. He no longer wears any of the typical Bajoran adjournments that are symbols of faith. Although he does wear a necklace that has a religious symbol attached, that belonged to his dead wife. <br /> <br /> Although it had only been a few years, due to the temporal displacement, the Rhyne was discovered 60 years later and rescued by the USS Illuminar, where he now serves as a medical officer.</div>
