			(USS Nimitz – Deck 10 – Engineer Ensign T'Kron – 2117)

			T'kron went into his warmer quarters after pulling a double shift to finish out helping with the refits and rest of the installation of the new equipment. Dropping off his data PADDs on his desk, he left the lights low as he readied himself for bed and listened to his messages prior to meditating.

			He had few messages but a longer one needed an immediate reply. It was from the newly promoted Lt. Eric McDermott.

			[There will be a tactical simulation tomorrow at 0700 hours on Holodeck 1. The simulations will include exercises on tactics and strategies as well as the challenges that will be faced while conducting operations in a jungle environment.

			The following officers will be required to attend this exercise. Ensign Kyna Telor, Ensign Mattrim Thomas, Ensign A'Nara Zardasky, Ensign Kobach Novinskii, Ensign Peter Andrews, Ensign Leesa Stanton and Ensign T'Kron.

			It is recommended but not required that the following officers attend this exercise. Ensign Tom Jackson, Lt(jg) Cecilia Bruce, Ensign Lucy Minchin, Lt(jg) Tarus Daban and Lt(jg) Ahmed Ibn Salid.

			Any other interested officers or crewmembers are welcome to attend this exercise. Be advised this will be a time consuming exercise conducted under as realistic conditions as possible. The safety settings on the Holodeck will be set to low so minor injuries will be possible. It is recommended that you get a good night's rest and eat a good meal before the beginning of this simulation.

			Raising one eyebrow in quiet contemplation, T'Kron then addressed the computer. "Computer, record the following message: Lt McDermott, I do not think it would be beneficial to the crew to eat 'a good meal' before strenuous exercise, unless Sickbay or the Science Department is conducting a study to test the explicit nature of the crew's ability to digest food under adverse conditions. I advise that medical care and cleaning supplies be available if this is the true intent. I will be on Holodeck 1 at 0700 hours for the training exercises barring any objections from Chief Engineer Lt Salid."

			Lighting some candles to encourage his meditative state, T'Kron sat bare-chested and cross-legged on a floor mat in his loose sleeping pants. Placing his hands on his thighs, he prepared himself for meditation by beginning the ritual breathing exercises to calm his mind from his busy day in Engineering. Closing his eyes, his chest rose and fell and then slowed as he exerted control on his physical body.
