Because of the hatching cycles of the Trivaste young, the ship's repairs were critical. When it became apparent that the crew would be unable to repair the worldship's systems in a timely manner, the Kitty Hawk [[Tractor Beam]]ed the vessel to [[Iradon]].

When the massive ship entered the quantum influence of the planet, both the Worldship and the planet Iradon were ejected from our universe into the universe originally inhabited by Iradon. The away team was just barely able to get off the planet before the reversion was completed.
