[[Zeon]] is the homeworld of the [[Zeons]], and the next planet out from [[Ekos]]. The planets are [[Class M]] sisters. The Ekos-Zeon star system is unnamed. <br />

In 2268, Zeon was briefly endangered when the [[Ekosian]] Nazi regime planned to attack it with interplanetary thermonuclear missiles. Promoted as the "Final Decision", the attack was barely averted by the crew of the starship USS Enterprise, working with the Zeon and native Ekosian anti-Nazi underground resistance. ==Background==<br />
The place-name Zeon would seem to play on "Zion", a Hebrew metonym for ancient Israel. It strengthens the parallel between the xenophobic persecution on Ekos and Europe's own Nazi-directed Holocaust. The altruistic immigrants Isak, his brother Abrom, and Davod all have Hebrew names, similarly tweaked. <br />
